How many have seen this Charlie Chaplin film?
What are your impressions of this movie?

I've seen this movie, excellent is the word for it. Chaplin was a great actor, and this movie is proof, because it;s NOT the typical funny chaplin movie. It has a good theme, it tells us that even good people go bad when the chips are down. Chaplin's defense (of himself at the trial) is memorable. All working class people can relate to it.

I'll second that. Chaplin was a great political film maker who never lost touch with his working class roots.
His other political films, Modern Times, The Great Dictator and A King in New York are all uncompromising and went father than anything that was being produced in Hollywood during the same period.
