And i ask.Why?The goal of the vanguard is to 'vanguardize' the rest of the non-vanguard.The vanguard is not the individuals,but the ideas, which those individuals express and propagandize.

If the rest of the workers recognize their vanguard as the individuals,then those individuals are seen as the speakers of the correct and liberating ideology,which is very possible to lead to "whatever the vanguard (remember,the individuals) says is the correct thing to do), which we all know where that leads.

The vanguard is there to ideologically lead the class-unconcious workers.When that happens,it is up to those class concious workers to test,question and (reasonably and with arguments) challenge the "ideological authority" of the vanguard.If that doesnt happen,then the organizaton the vanguard sustains will most probably suppress and restrict new ideas and improvements, under the weight of democratic centralism.

Anyway, I think what che was getting at is that a revolutionary shouldn't try to distance himself from the working class by creating some sort of division (ie, he wears a hood, I don't), because they would want the masses to realize that they are one and the same.

The vanguard are the individuals,because the 'best' ideology has to be spread by a medium,and that's people.If they are seen as the individuals,then if i.e. i am a memebr of the vanguard,and one day i become an opportunist,then someone who has labeled me as 'member of the vanguard' will trust me and follow my lead.

Coz i am the vanguard :cool:
