Apparently, sales of leftist literature has increased over the past few months.

Yesterday, I was in Borders books for a gander and spotted a table comprising of piles of fifty classic reads. Amongst the pile was the communist manifesto. I couldn't believe it. There was only four or five left in the pile which was far less than the others.

I realise Borders are only stocking Marx and Engels as demand has increased and to profit from their sales, but surely this represents progress? I like Borders but always criticised it for being bourgeois, it even has a Starbucks for fuck sake. Here's to the the year ahead!

Borders is fantastic for communist books. I went there recently and got:
My life- Fidel Castro
Comrades (Not what I expected)
Modern China.

And there was also Young lenin, stalin, books on mao, marx. Entire sections dedicated to them, even bigger then when I went last time. I didn't even get a funny look when buying them this time. All good.

Yeah, I think some of the staff seem quite leftist but fuck, the Commie Manifesto in a high street book store. I'm still amazed.
