PoWR has launched a new newscast which is viewable online.

Your World In Review is a video news show that aims to bring you coverage of the events that matter to you. Unlike the corporate-funded media, we aim to serve you, not big business.

We are still ironing out some of the kinks, so for now, production of the show may not follow any set schedule. But we aim to make Your World In Review a weekly production as soon as possible, and eventually, a daily production. With your help we can make that happen sooner than later.

This is a much needed resource, and that's why we've set about creating it.

You can view the first episode (for the week of January 4) at the Your World In Review (http://www.ywir.net) website. You should also be able to find it by searching YouTube and Google Video.

Each new episode will also appear on Revolutionary Perspective (http://www.revper.org) (bottom right hand corner) our regularly-updated website for new and analysis.

Comments are welcome.

This seems like an interesting project. As further production is planned and made I imagine it will start to look and sound better. Vidcasts and podcasts are interesting if largely untapped mediums for revolutionary information.

Oh, ahem, more useful...

I'd recommend some sort of visual variation: showing clips relating to the news being spoken, etc. At the moment, it's quite boring watching a pretty asian girl read the news -- you might as well save production costs/time by producing a voice-only podcast.

Needs relevant clips, pictures, and such

Looks like PoWR has some interesting projects going, though.

I agree that it needs some work, but to be fair they are only just starting. The PoWR should be commended for the great work they have done in getting the revolutionary message out there.

great work, keep it coming.

using graphs, clips and and other visual elements isn't a bad idea at all.

Good start and work, but the person in the back ground needs to be quiet.
And yes, images, videos, etc.

None the less, great work and keep it up!
