Move is in response to Israeli shelling of UN convoy.

This is really sad - today marks, in my opinion, the beginning of the worst for Gazans.

Quite honestly I feel bad for both sides, on one side, Israelis face the terror of incoming Hamas rockets into Southern Israeli but on the other side, Israelis are facing attacks on them in response to these rocket attacks done by the Hamas. Quite honestly Fatah needs to reunite with the Hamas forming the Western Bank and the Gaza Strip into one state, ruled by one goverment.

Throughout the past half century no amount of shuffling or puzzle-piecing done by the Palestinians has been "enough" for the Israelis. No level of militarization or demobilization, no amount of ceasefires or acts of war or terrorism has ever satisfied Israel.

This also comes after Israeli troops attacked and destroyed a UN-run school and killed over 40 people (see Rosa's thread).

There's no justification whatsoever for any of this. In a single day of retributive violence Israel has negatively affected the lives of more Palestinians than so-called Arab terrorists have affected Israeli Jews in the whole of Israel's history.

I suppose you mean Palestinians are facing attacks in response to Hamas rockets. At any rate, you are right that it is unfortunate, but there's no proportion between the total destruction wreaked by Israel on Gaza and the miserable, almost completely ineffective rockets fired by Hamas on Israel.

Well, that's some peace of 'realism.' What you're basically offering is that Hamas, who are trying to become agents of imperialism, unite with Fatah, already agents of imperialism, and that they take the two state solution? This solution has been tried for over 20 years. It's time to realize that there can be no peace between Arabs and Jews while Zionism exists in the region.

Well said.
