I have looked around a bit and I can't find one.

If it doesnt exist then we should make one, and if it does exist then we need to put more into it and raise it's prominence on the internet. Also if it does exist then post link please! Apologies if there is an obvious link somewhere that I have missed

MIA is not a wiki, but it's close, since it has a lot of editors.
You're free to contact staff and sign up :)

Who needs a socialist wiki when you have conservapedia?

Closest thing I can think of to a socialist wiki would be the Red Encyclopedia but alas I don't think it's up (or updated) anymore.

It was limited in its scope anyhow reporting only on the supposed strength/size/ideology of different left groups but was informative nonetheless.

There is a Democrat Party (US) wiki called dkosopedia and then there are a few anarchist wikis (Anarchopedia, Infoshop OpenWiki and infoAnarchy) but no socialist wikis. There used to a fork of Wikipedia which instead of a NPOV policy called for content sympathetic to the title but I can't find it anymore.

Why? The majority of people would just see it as stupid propaganda and laugh at it.

Even compared to dkosopedia, anarchopedia and infoshop openwiki, the socialism wikia and socialist alliance wikispaces look tiny.

Relveft now has a Wiki. It's up there in the Wiki tab at the top of the page. We need people to write up some articles, so get to it if you're interested.

Am I right in thinking it is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license?

I found it, its is called Wikinfo (http://www.wikinfo.org) and here is their sympathetic page on Communism (http://www.wikinfo.org/index.php/Communism_%28sympathetic%29) and here is their unsympathetic page on Communism (http://www.wikinfo.org/index.php/Communism_%28unsympathetic%29).

Look up Conservapedia. It's quite entertaining if you want a good laugh. I randomly stumbled upon it one day while doing homework.

I've found a Maoist wiki before.

Anarchopedia sucks, they really need to fix up the search option.

I think we could start a Marxopedia on wikia. Wikia is suppose to be a supplement to Wikipedia in more depth or from a point of view. The historical articles on Communism are heavily biased, but there are some pretty good articles on Marxist economics, theory and philosophy. So we could just start by transcribing some of the existing articles.

Also they have wikiprojects for editors on specific topics on wikipedia itself. So you could start your own, or create one on Socialism and get likeminded people from revleft to contribute. The best would be if we had both a wikia and wikipedia project. That way we could have our own "ideal" revleft article and at the same time influence the main wikipedia article for a much larger audience.

Of course there is the problem of various tendencies of revleft. You could split the article itself into differing viewpoints, or if large enough have multiple articles on the same topic from various ideologies.

The biggest problem is getting people to contribute. But if you just copy edit a bunch of articles off wikipedia to begin with, people may start contributing by editing existing articles.

Wikipedia started out as a transcription of the old 1911 encyclopedia Brittanica. So perhaps we could use some old Soviet encyclopedia to start with.

I set up a Marx wiki at wikia which is hosted by wikipedia. I haven't had much time to tinker with it, but if anyone wants to start, dig in. Anyone can edit. http://marx.wikia.com/wiki/Marxism_Wiki
