9 people where taken of a plane and interviewed by FBI just because they talked about where there was safe to sit during the flight. Are people getting so afraid of each other?

I agree.
AirTran should be prosecuted for this kind of discrimination. They said
"AirTran Airways complied with all TSA, law enforcement and Homeland Security directives and had no discretion in the matter,".
I never read Homeland Security directives, but i doubt its says "if someone whit middle eastern origin speak of where there is safest to sit during flight on a plane, FBI should be contacted". Or something like that.
I know i talked about this on a plane and no fascist come to take me away.
The Empire is getting back to its bad old times with this apartheid shit.

um. . . not never, exactly.
I especially love how they're allowed to fly with AirTran again, as if that's some sort of concession. . .
I think that's an excellent point on people being afraid of each other. So the question becomes--what do we do to make people less afraid of each other? One of my sisters makes that her sign off--"don't forget to be afraid," when you're walking out the door. ..
I saw a documentary on the various things that are correlated to a high rate of television usage, and fear of street crime is one of them. . . I wish more people were doing research on that sort of things, so we could identify the characteristics of discourse that have that (apparently unintended) effect. The intentional bits are bad enough. . .
