PFLP calls for immediate and permanent end to so-called "negotiations" with the enemy, once and for all

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on December 30, 2008 for the immediate and permanent end to the so-called "negotiations" with the enemy, once and for all.

The PFLP further warned PA President Abu Mazen from providing cover for the enemy and its assaults against our people through the so-called "negotiations" with Israel, stating that these negotiations are a mockery and must end immediately.

The statement said that the PFLP has warned Abu Mazen and the PA government in Ramallah of the damaging and dangerous of these "negotiations" upon our people and our cause and stated that they only provide illusions and false promises to our people.

Our people are not fooled by these so-called "negotiations" or the so-called "peace process," because they daily confront the crimes and aggressions of the enemy on the ground, from the latest massacres in Gaza, to the continuing imprisonment of over 11,000 Palestinian political prisoners, to the ongoing building of the settlements that steal our land, to the building of the racist annexation wall, to the Zionization of Jerusalem, to the countless other crimes committed over sixty years of occupation that have not once ceased due to such so-called "negotiations."

The PFLP said that the road that must be taken instead and immediately is that which leads to the defeat of the enemy - steadfastness, resistance, national unity, and confrontation. Our responsibility is to protect our people under occupation and not to provide cover for the occupation as it commits its crimes.

The PFLP once again reiterated its strongest condemnation of the "security cooperation" with the occupier, which means, in reality, that PA security forces in Ramallah become collaborators with the Israeli enemy, providing Israeli security agencies with support, coordinated efforts against the resistance and inflicting serious damage upon the Palestinian national movement and deepening Palestinian internal division at a time when unity and united resistance must be the highest priority.

The PFLP noted the direct participation and complicity of the Palestinian Authority in the imprisonment and abduction of Comrade General Secretary Ahmad Sa'adat, first in his four years of illegal imprisonment by the PA at the behest of Israel and ending up with a life sentence in the jails of the occupier, and said that our people will not forget, and we will not forgive.

Those who are failing to continue upon the march of the resistance must step down. This is the time for a Palestinian leadership that upholds our people, our resistance, our national rights and our cause. There can be no compromise and no turning back from these constants. The Palestinian Authority and its leadership does not have a right to become an obstacle in the path of our people and our resistance, in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip.

The PFLP stated that now is a time for unity and victory, and shame to the defeatists, and called for national unity and steadfastness and victory for the resistance.
