Like, a person may have a dominant hand, say right, but he can also use the left to do the same activities. How does the brain play a role in this, since I assumed a dominant right hemisphere makes one left-handed, and vice versa? Does that mean most people have a linear thought pattern (since majority are right-handers), and very few are truly imaginative?

What's the scientific perspective on this? Is it really true that your strong hand points to the dominance of a certain part of the brain? And what about those who can use both hands, though they might have a strong hand?

The only thing I know about this is that all (or almost all) right-handed people have Broca's area (area involved in language - speech production, language processing, and language comprehension) in the left hemisphere, while left-handed people have Broca's area in the right hemisphere. Its sister area (area that's in the same spot on the opposite side of the brain, I don't know what the official word is for that so I used 'sister') deals with mimicing and empathy. I don't know what effect that has on anything though.

Some of the technical questions that people post on revleft, they would probably get better answers if they ask them in the forums of medical web sites, physics web sites, or those of other specializations.
