Personally, my favourite revolutionary was Mao. I dont like many of his policies once he got power, but as a revolutionary he was the best. He was a military genius, and he was good at mobilising the masses (peasents), he was a very romantic revolutionary too (equal to Che in this aspect)
And he united one quarter of mankind, possibly the world's greatest nation, after 100s of years of oppression, struggle, foreign exploitation etc. He led the people to victory against fuedal landlords, the corrupted koumintang, the foreign invaders. With the chinese revolution came the dawn of a new age in China's great history, and a new hope for most chinese. He was a great and inspirational revolutionary.

"The chinese people have stood up!"

Too bad he made some mistakes while in power...

Dóchas
24th December 2008, 15:49
well im not sure about that but these are the reasons i can come up with

bolivian army was trained by CIA operatives in jungle warfare

the geurillas expected help from the communist party of bolivia but didnt get any

the radio they had was faulty so they couldnt communicate with havana and eachother

i have heard of the peasent idea but i dont see why a peasent would report the people who were trying to help them

Nobody was humaner than the human-champion Mao Zedong

I'm going to agree with Scarletghoul. Mao was a great revolutionary but I didn't like much how he ruled China.
