Search "Che Hits the Big Apple" in google to find the article and it should be by Commentary Magazine.

I came across an article not too long ago... Its fairly short, but their point is very clear. It's obvious that this magazine was created by a bunch of ignorant rightists which is apparent in their comments towards the article.
Upon reading their comments and opinions on one of the greatest revolutionary heroes of our time, I became enraged with hate over their stupidity. I wanted to round them up in a large room, tie them to chairs, staple their eyelids open and make them watch and hear the truth until they could no longer bear it.... I do apologize for my radical ways though. lol

I decided to add a comment of my own on page 6 under the alias "The Revolutionary". :D

I have come across the same stupidity when searching out Che Guevera on twitter. Lots of comparisions to Bin Laden. I enjoy responding to those. :)

Some of the reader comments - (especially from pg 2 on) are suprisingly refreshing, considering the audience.

In no way can they compare Guevara to fucking Bin Laden. Bin Laden is a terrorist, and he kills innocent people. Guevara killed soldiers in a war. Big difference. Wish I could get more in depth but I have to go.

"Che Guevara was a criminal known for his hate and intolerance. He actively tried to use nuclear weapons to murder millions of Americans. It is sick and disturbing that New York would put Guevara on a pedestal."

This quote made me laugh, shows a complete lack of knowledge about Che making his outrage seem silly. I feel rather sorry for the guy who posted this actually, living in his isolated ignorant angry bubble of dumbfounded Che hatred.

The fact its clearly an actor seems to have missed many of the people posting. look at the Pedestal that the "statue" is placed upon, it's just a wooden box...

LOL 'actively tried to use nuclear weapons to murder millions of Americans'. I think this comes from the time he spoke to a communist newspaper and told them angrily 'if we actually had nukes we'd have fired them all off by now'.

He was pretty pissed with America, and with all the stupid McCarthyist sheep there I probably would have thought a bit less about blowing it all to smithereens if I was him.

Comparing him to bin Laden = RAAAAGGGEEEEE..Let's see:
1: Bin Laden is a religious extremist who wishes to impose an oppressive, misogynistic and generally very intolerant social policy upon people everywhere. Che is the exact opposite.
2: Bin Laden ordered the deaths of probably thousands of innocent people. Did Che? I've heard he ordered some civilian deaths as enemies of the regime or whatever, but generally he shot soldiers in combat and purged the Batistan army of people who absolutely deserved a bullet.
3: Bin Laden is the leader of a bunch of crazy cave-dwelling jihadist AK-47-waving bunch of nuts who can't even stand up to America. Enough said.

But hey, the conservatard point of view is that 'anyone who doesn't agree with the USA = baaaad person, all the same'. Basically that BS black-and-white-we're-the-best view that you you might see the product of such being spammed by a 10 year old redneck in a game of Counter-Strike or something.

That's what the conservatives have got people believing (through religion especially) anyway, especially since your average person has shit for brains. If the US was under a democratic socialist regime I can guarantee you it would be much better off (in reality - but mind you they don't live in such a thing) for alot of these twats.
