In b4 "got bite a live cable"

I like nu-metal although somtimes the fans piss me off (why would you call yourself a juggalo or a maggot? , why!)

I find it generally helps if you don't take yourself too seriously?

A lot of metal fans seem to do that.

What amazes me is how people can act as if listening to some music defines them. I mean i might buy a slipknot t shirt if it was super cheap (99p cheap) but i wont act as if something I listen to every now and again defines me.

Some people dont have much else than the music they listen to, so its a big part of their life. Just like how some people let their religion or politics define them.

I might be talking out of my arse here but do people into music think about music thing about music as much as people into politics think about politics? (prehaps somone into both could let me know) im into music but i suppose not that much. Not more than the average person probs less.

I think it might be a identity thing.

I'm into politics and music, and a lot of my thought and activity is to do with music. I think more about politics, because it involves a lot more thought than music, but I spend much time listening to music, sometimes reading lyrics or related information etc.

I play in a few bands and have been teaching myself classical guitar for a few years. I can say that for me as being into both music and politics that my dedication to politics is far more intense than my interest in continuing playing music. My friends who I grew up playing with were surprised when I told them I didn't see playing music in my future beyond classical guitar which I just do for myself. These same friends are intensely dedicated to music and want nothing more than to be able to pay rent, buy food and beer, and buy more shit for music with their bands. Which I think is cool for them.
