Following the recent rejection of the bailout which obviously I and most other leftist completely rejected it was interesting to find out the real motive behind the republicans rejection .

Taken from an article in the LATimes.

This is the Democrats' first opportunity to pay off organized labor after the election," read an e-mail circulated Wednesday among Senate Republicans. "This is a precursor to card check and other items. Republicans should stand firm and take their first shot against organized labor, instead of taking their first blow from it."

If anyone in my part Europe openly would aim against organised labour, that politician would be toast. It would almost be as bad as invoking God in public speeches. O.O

The Blueshirts (Fine Gael) have already expressed their intentions regarding unions and the crumbs the union leaderships have gotten off IBEC's table: they want a 12 month pay-freeze at all levels which would scrap the already dismal social-partnership 'deal'.
