whats up....im a truck driver from the pacific NW who up until a couple years ago didn't care much for politics and tended more to the nationalistic side of the political belief system. i was an angry, white, working class male raised amongst racist beliefs and i acted that way, pissed off at the world and willing to blame anything or anyone. about 2 2 1/2 years ago i started to realize that there had to be a better belief system than the one i was accustomed too and started to do some research. i first researched socialism and found that I held a lot of the same beliefs, but it wasn't quite right. which lead to DeLeonism which was a lot closer but still not quite right....too rigid of a doctrine. no room for free thought in my opinion. which lead to anarcho-syndicalism.....it was like i had found god. i joined rev left 136 days ago apparently and have yet to make a single post. that's not to say i haven't been here learning, reading and absorbing information like a starving child having his first meal in days. Only problem i have with anacho-syndicalism is the state i live in had to be the most anti-union state in the country. One of the first things my employer told me when i hired on was that if i tried to unionize they would fire me on the spot...which leaves me in a pickle. but i still believe in it and i always will...and ill continue learning and one day ill win....untill then i will work like a mule...........

Welcome to Revleft!
I suggest you take a look in the Worker's Struggle forum. I know there's a thread that lays out the labor laws by country. That whole getting fired for unionizing bit just ain't right, morally or legally :)

oh i know....they would justify it by passing a new company policy such as "no visible tattoos" or some shit like that. they would find a way to fire me. and in regards to the whole "morally wrong" aspect....my company has no morals. they figure they can fire me and hire someone else for less pay. wouldnt lose a minute of sleep over it neither.

good for you, I know what it's like to take a second look at your political beliefs and realize just how full of shit all your previously held beliefs were, its liberating (that is finding yourself in radical politics) as well as sometimes daunting of a task. as for your work that's a fucking drag it's shit like that that makes me cringe everytime people say America is the land of the free. as for the learning though keep up the good work, dont get burnt out too quick and keep up the struggle best of luck
