Christmas Specials

I've noticed that the typical Christmas special is plagued with contradictions. Most Christmas specials preach about how Christmas being about more then a fetish over commodites and is about qualities that are not commodifiable for example family, friendship, ect then they usually try to commodify Christmas mostly through Santa, Christmas trees, or Christmas dinners.

I've been recently thinking of what a socialist Christmas special would look like since I think Christmas special do have some good messages even if contradictory.

For example I had an idea of a story line of the products of society not being available for Christmas (i.e bad weather prevents shipments to a rural town for the holidays) and you go through the stock current special about the holidays being more then consuming yet without the contradiction later on, the town pulls together and is able to have a happy holiday even with the reduced consumption of the products of society over the holidays.
