I don't know really where to look at when we look at our writers of today who expand the science of Socialism today.

I can mention a few such as Michael Parenti, Howard Zinn, and arguably Noam Chomsky for his work on the media. But who else can we look to in terms of contemporary events. In Canada, I don't think I can name really any famous ones. Though perhaps many not famous but still very intelligent writers of the socialist left who write in Newspapers. What about others?

What about John Bellamy Foster? I quite like his articles in Monthly Review.

The Monthly Review keeps a fairly substantial archive of articles, many of which have been contributed by the current managing editor, John Bellamy Foster. Monthly Review is a good source for everyone on the socialist left, regardless of affiliation.

haha, the best, are there any others, mate?

actually to answer the opening post, google Liam O Ruairc, also try it as O'Ruairc. my personal fav.

also see the spiked group, some of their positions are oddball, but they're oriented towards intellectuals more than action.

as for Canada, surely you jest, we have amongst our ranks here the leading intellectual Jacob Richter.
