View Full Version : Introduction to the Masses

Greetings, Comrades!

I have been a student of Communism since I was of the age of 11. What can I say? I'm an early bloomer. I have been self-taught and have sought out those of experience to help show me the ropes. Since then I have started and ended several campaigns to begin a more modern perspective of the utilization of the 1800's beliefs of Karl Marx. I have decided it would be best to create a manifesto first before attempting anything as drastic as creating even more splintering in the Communist/Socialist community and so this is what I have begun to do.
I am also a homosexual and an Atheist and so far being a Communist has been the personal identifier characteristic that I have been criticized the most for. I find this to actually be relieving. I never see the human race ever ending its dispute over governmental beliefs.
If you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to hearing from you all, my faceless, digital comrades. Hahaha!

Signed in full competence,
Thomas Corwin Montgomery Rainier

You're writing down your own ideas and started at the age of 11? Wow! You amaze me! :o How old are you now?

I'm 17 and have been into Communism for less than a year... I'm a late bloomer! haha!

Anyway, welcome. :)

For some strange reason, I don't think he's getting anything published soon...or ever for that matter.

Well, thank you for your confidence, "Post-Something", but I do intend on publishing my writings. Not as a sign of arrogance or of ascended knowledge, but simply because I have heard many perspectives and I think it is about time that I write down what I have witnessed in my short idealistic years as an activist. I'm from an old order of disciplinarians with realistic intentions. I see the human race achieving far more than we could have ever have envisioned, but I don't think we've reached a plausible path to take to get us there yet. I thought maybe I would put forth my two cents worth into the worldwide philosophical arena and see if maybe I can maybe do my part to aide us along our societal evolution. What do you think, comrades?
I'm 19, by the way.
My pamphlet is called the Manifesto of the Adjuvant. That may change as it is only the title.

Pray tell, what exactly is your manifesto? What have you added to the vast body of knowledge that already exists? I'm very much interested to hear what somebody who thinks that

We have Obama, though, so maybe there is hope after all.

could add to the revolutionary leftist movement.

My dear "Post-Something",
You are insinuating that political theories have to be completely original. Must I remind you that the Communist Manifesto itself was only a compellation of several previous conceived theories that when put together only "new" in their combination. Karl Marx's "Communism" was economically Socialism, Hegel's chaos theory and when Hegel discussed polar forces fighting and eventually combining, Marx introduced the idea of polar classes in struggle. Even Karl Marx admitted that the only reason he didn't call his theories Socialism was because Socialism had a bad reputation in the 1800's, much like Communism does now. Not to belittle the genius stroke that was the philosophy of Communism, but I simply wanted to make my case clear that I don't have to be 100% original in order to introduce a "new" political theory.
But to clarify, in my writings, I refer a lot to self-control, science being the acceptable end of "free will" and the perspective of everything through a lens of both compassion and action (not necessarily, but not excluding, violence) in order to achieve a means.

My dear "Post-Something"

Cut the crap. If you're here to learn, by all means learn. If you're here to debate, by all means debate. But if you're here to pretend that you're the most intellectually potent thing since Marx himself, then step down a couple of rungs from your imaginary ladder.

No. What Marx and Engels brought to the arena was a "scientific" socialism. A manifesto is a collection of ideas and how you attempt to achieve those. The communist Manifesto had new ideas. Before then it had only been a utopian dream pretty much. In no way am I asking that much of you, in fact, I'm going to ask you again in very plain English, so that there is no room for dodging the question or false interpretation:

Please post your ideas so that I can have a look at them.

Karl Marx's "Communism" was economically Socialism

What on earth do you mean by this? Communism IS the negation of economic antagonisms. Socialism is the road which leads to communism. Have you read any Marx?

Hegel's chaos theory and when Hegel discussed polar forces fighting and eventually combining, Marx introduced the idea of polar classes in struggle.

What you're talking about is Historical Materialism. Marx turned Hegels dialectical philosophy upside down to view history from a materialist perspective. Historical Materialism is Marxs'. It's not a "combination" of ideas Marx just picked from Hegel.

Even Karl Marx admitted that the only reason he didn't call his theories Socialism was because Socialism had a bad reputation in the 1800's, much like Communism does now.

source?

Oh, don't worry, I apprehended that.

Either post your "manifesto", or don't expect to be taken seriously on here. Before reading it, I can tell you "self-control" or whatever you're talking about will be a load off idealist bullshit. And the rest of the tripe you mentioned is pathetic worplay with no philosophical merit. Again, either lay out your ideas, or don't expect an Obama troll like yourself to be listened to.

I promise, when my manifesto is completed and critiqued by my peers, that I will post it, if that is what you wish.
I have read Marx, by the way. That is why I am here. Hahaha!
Please try to be more pleasant. We are all comrades here.
You were correct about the Socialism in comparison to the economic theories of Communism. I was wrong in that statement. I personally have no idea why I had written that in the first place. I looked it over and I was amazed I had sounded so ignorant on the matter. I apologize for my clerical error.
I assure you about the naming of Communism, however. I'm sure if you do some research you'll find what I said to be true. I'm sorry, but this time I can't give you all the sources.

Meh, enjoy your stay until then I guess.

I'm not usually an aggressive poster, but there's been an upsurge on this forum of people coming on here, posting "new manifestos" and telling us Obama is "an alternative till the real revolution".

I understand. I am never going to assume that I am the end all be all. I just hope to do my part.
I've been reading some of these "new manifestos" and they are not much to ponder. That is why I am hoping to try my own. I might as well throw my stones, right?
I hope to see some more posts from you some time.
