I was listening to a couple Muse songs I downloaded the other day and I came across Knights of Cydonia. I have heard the song a bunch of times before but never really listened to the lyrics, they sounds surprisingly revolutionary. I was just wondering if anyone had any take on this, or know the song's real meaning. This may have been brought up in a music thread before so sorry if i'm repeating (every time I searched "Knights of Cydonia" I got the member ). For anyone not familar with the song here are the lyrics.

"Come ride with me through the veins of history
I'll show you a God who falls asleep on the job
And how can we win when fools can be Kings?
Don't waste your time or time will waste you
No one's gonna take me alive
The time has come to make things right
You and I must fight for our rights
You and I must fight to survive"

note the end of the video too, with that socialist credit. It may just be a joke though, making fun of those cheaply made 70s action movies.

The entire album, "Black Holes and revelations" is essentially a political concept album.

'Invincible' is about a revolution and the power of the oppressed when they unite, one of the early songs on the album is about how those in power will pay for their crimes.

All very cool really.

Knights of Cydonia, is just one of politically protest song (maybe:blushing:) / or maybe is just one of dissatisfied song about something, in Muse album "Black Holes and Revelations".

Do any of the above mentioned songs/music consist of (leftist?) subliminal messages??

Somebody at uni's had a pint with the other two peeps from Muse
And I'd always had the impression that the are a left band. Probably Matt Bellamy voicing his admiration of RATM. But they're also into occult stuff.

Dont really like Muse, the singles they brought out I find quite boring. I heard some of their work is more brutal
