I have been wondering that myself. I could give a shit how someone in Angola perceives the United States. As Saudi Arabia has found, it is more important to concern themselves with the way they are viewed by Americans, than Islamic fundamentalists. However, they are trying to maintain a difficult balancing act between the two. We shall see who holds more political power, the gihadists or the United States.

Anyway, I read half-way through that article and realised it was just a bunch of rethoric, did the writer attempt to bring up any rational points, or did he just generalise and dismiss points of view as "fringe".
