We moved here (Marietta/Cobb County, Georgia) four years ago. I wasn't prepared for the "culture" here, where John McCain is considered a Pinko and Sarah Palin is a conservative intellectual. I was told by a neighbor; "That Obama is left of the far left". Just in case it's the water supply, we're sticking to bottled water. I used to have a bumper sticker that said "My Boss is a Jewish Intellectual" with a picture of Trotsky. Not any more. At least I still have a bumper.
From the looks of the economy, our time may be coming once again. It's good to find a place for intelligent conversation.
