Reading 'The Motorcycle Diaries' won't give you much information about Che's actual ideas, although it's still a good read and can you some insight into what caused Che to become a revolutionary and take the side of the oppressed, after having been born into a prosperous Argentinian family. If you are interested in Che's politics then you should check out some of his speeches in which he talks about the effects of imperialism on the developing world, in particular 'Message to the Tricontinental' (http://www.marxists.org/archive/guevara/1967/04/16.htm), 'At the Afro-Asian Conference in Algeria' (http://www.marxists.org/archive/guevara/1965/02/24.htm), and 'On Development' (http://www.marxists.org/archive/guevara/1964/03/25.htm). You may find it interesting read these works only after you've read Lenin's text on imperialism as well as the works of the dependency school of development studies (Andre Gunder-Frank, Immanuel Wallerstein et al.) to give you some theoretical context and background. Che also sets outs his vision for the Cuban revolution in 'Man and Socialism in Cuba' (http://www.marxists.org/archive/guevara/1965/03/man-socialism.htm).

"Guerrilla Warfare" by Che Guevara
This one isn't necessarily on him, but it tells you a lot about him, such as views on terrorism in comparison to sabotage and prisoners
