No, that's the point. He's not gone. He registered under another name after being banned as Stormin Norman, but apparently some of the admins didn't see it necessary to ban the new one. so here he is, sticking around, claiming a theory that has been embraced by numerous intellectuals and philosphers a mental disorder.

That being said, I think it's mainly an issue of how long he has persisted in coming here. There's clearly something wrong with him mentally to do so, but one cannot help feel something for a man that spends this much time and energy on a messageboard he professes to hate, talking with people he professes to loathe.

Maybe it's my interest in perverse psychology, I dunno, but he's also become sort of a fixture of OI. Sort of a shining example of everything we find wrong with America. And to boot, he can actually form sentances and communicate his ideas, which seperates him from almost every other cappie member we've had.

His ideas are still utter shit, but he expresses them in such a way that he makes it abundantly clear what is wrong with them, he has a tendancy to present issues with such clarity that the fact that he is completely wrong in his stance on it becomes blindingly obvious. Instant refuting argument, just add water ;)

That being said, it does undermine the integrity of the rules of the board to allow him to get away with this. I think we may either have to have a vote to determine if he is banned, or a vote to determine if he is given exemption from the old ban. We cannot simply forget about it, it has to be resolved.

That, however, will not be done here. ;)

The thing is, as long as I can remember, your objective in coming here has never been to "converse" - it has never been to hold a meaningful discussion, or to form your own views through discourse with others.

As long as I can remember, your objective has always been to prove us wrong - that is, you are nearly obsessive-compulsive in your desire to demolish and humiliate "the Left".

I'm not sure how you expect to have some sort of friendly conversation with us after starting threads that claim that our views are the result of a mental disease.

Norm, I am legitimately surprised at how much this board put up with you before finally dispensing with your nonsense. We suffered your unprovoked abuse, blatant trolling, and other things that do not exactly bear traits of "meaningful discussion".

The last straw was when you literally flooded the forum during an epic hissy fit that enveloped you after an errant moderator deleted two or three of your posts. Let's not even mention the fact that a large portion of the text you flooded the forum with included an explicit dare to ban you.

My advice, Norm? You've got one of two routes worth a damn that I can see. Either 1) join a messageboard that suits your views, such as FreeRepublic.com or ProtestWarrior.com or 2) get a new screen name, adopt a new writing style, and engage in some real discussion with us.

I had a strange dream last night. A bunch of people were involved in some sort of tribal combat to determine who was the dominant leader of a specific group. This fighting involved hand to hand combat, and in extreme cases knocking each other off of a cliff, where the loser would plummet to their death. I was winning, when I was matched with a competitor who had some sort of illogical hatred for me. His hatred for me went far beyond the desire to merely dominate the arena. It was as if I had wronged him in some way in the past. We battled it out, and kept getting nowhere. Finally, we busted out briefcases full of weapons and went at each other with knives. All of the sudden, my opponent called something like a time out, and switched to an exacto-knife. After fighting resumed, he came within a fraction of an inch of cutting off the lense of my eye. I was able to push his hand back, but my defensive move landed me in a choke-hold where he again attempted to gauge my eyes out. I awoke just as I was elbowing him in the face, never to know how the dream would end, or if I would have lost my eyes.

What do you guys make of this dream?
