View Full Version : "Weapons Of Mass Deception"

Every day I read the same article.

Some headline similar to, "Still no WMD's Found in Iraq!"

Same article, every single fucking day, printed again and again. Every day the same editorial banter about how we were being lied to, about how unfair the corporate media networks were in the war coverage, about how this war was all one big empty media show. An endless supply of news reaffirming us that there's no news. Reaffirmation that this war was just a tainted product sold to the millions of dumbfuck American people that bought into the idea that we were actually being threatened. Same bullshit every day.

The war was, and continues to be, as much of a shallow media event for the leftist opposition as it was for it's rightwing supporters.

I'm more than ready to see the American left get off their fat asses, turn off their TVs, quit their crying about what just happened, quit feeling so helpless just because they're too afraid to do something beyond peaceful organized protest, quit expecting things to get better on their own, and do something about this.

I'm sick of hearing about the problem from people with no solution in mind.

I don't give a fuck either way if they find WMD's in Iraq or not. The point of the war was to enforce international law. Absolutely no evidence was actually provided to the UN, or anybody else for that matter, despite so many broken promises by the administration that we'd actually see some ligimate reason for going to war. In the process, the war itself was a violation of international law.

See:

http://www.worldpress.org/specials/iraq/article51.htm

http://www.worldpress.org/specials/iraq/chapterVII.htm

That's not to say that I give a fuck about international law, either.

All I care about right now is the fact that every bullet in every one of the thousands of dead corpses laying out in Iraq has my name written on it.

The left has been tagging along with the moronic justifications for this war that it's given it enough respect for a mass number of people to actually think there WAS a logic behind Bush's actions.

I'm waiting for the leftists to quit treating this thing like the "show" they claim it was, and get off their asses and do something about it.

Do something? Like what? Invade the white house and kick the shit out of Bush?

The Left has been doing what it should do and what it can do. Before the war, the Left voiced the concerns of the people who oppose Imperialism and a lawless world of US hegemony and arrogance. After the war, the Left has been telling people that they were lied to by their goverments. It has been highlighting the seriousness and unacceptablity of such behavior and its been trying to uncover the dirty to prove its charges. If anything I wish this would get more media atention.

I'm giving this place a second chance, I guess. I'm only here because Vox invited me back, and he's someone that I have a lot of respect for. I don't expect myself to be hanging around here nearly as much as I once did, though.

Panama,

As you already know the majority of this board are teenagers. Not only do thiey wish to simply conduct an electronic revolution from their bedrooms, the fact of the matter is that's what they should do. We cannot ask them to participate in any actions as they are no where near ready for it. I however am not a teenager. If you are serious please email me at [email protected]
I am currently in the US.

EDIT:
As I'm sure you are aware a simple email will be sufficient. Please do not include anything about the topic or why you are emailing me.

Good to see you back. I'd be with you but I'm in the UK and trapped by the system, being only 16 years old. I'm sure you can mobilise enough people if you really get going. get your contacts out, get them to get their contacts out.

Why am I pissed off? (http://www.marchforjustice.com/shock&awe.php) It's my duty as a human being to be pissed off. The majority of the world didn't want the war. The majority of the world recognizes that we were lied to about Iraq's weapons. And nobody's doing a God damn thing about it. What's more, you're telling me that the left has done "all it could".
