coffeshops, you know what I mean

British candy like Coffecrisps, Aero bars, etc, etc, you cant get them in the U$

Good, cheap unversity system

Clean cities, at leasted compared to the U$

We are not the best country in the world.

But what you say is good and makes us better than many other countries. Now it is upto us to destroy the capitalism that exists in favour of socialism (and hopefully still retain my beloved coffee shops!)

Well that is basically where I am at, but I don't consider that approach nationalistic in the least. It is more "atleast it isn't America" and "atleast our politicians are not that big of assholes and our 'spies' are dumbasses." Stuff like that. I love the land. The forests. Moreover pilots can overtake on this gp and that's a good thing.

Villeneuve would be better than most pilots with a ferrari. He would be a big problem for schumi and raikkonen. In fact he is one of the few pilots who have the balls to fight schumacher and to say what he thinks.
But bar sucks and it's a shame that villeneuve waste his talent with this team.

Zombie
10th June 2003, 23:40
Trulli, Fiscichella, Frentzen, Raikonnen and even Wurz are more talented than Villeneuve Jr.
His arrogance and how people blame his stupidity on the car drive me nuts. True the car sucks, but that doesn't guarantee the fact that putting him in a Ferrari or McLaren will make him the champion he claims to be. It's not just about being good, it's about coping with pressure, and he's not too good at that, he whines too much. Schumacher will just eat him alive.

Talking about arrogance, he's been proposed a hypothetical deal with Ferrari to be driver #2, and he refused, claiming he had to be driver #1. BULLSHIT.

LOIC
10th June 2003, 23:54
But villeneuve has already beat schumi for the championship. It shows that he is a good driver and that he can resist to pressure.
Personnally, i like his agressive comportment when he is in the car. He has balls.
But I agree that Raikkonen is more talented than villeneuve.
I wish that villeneuve will join a good team soon but most of the teams don't want a pilot who speaks his mind.

What i mean is that villeneuve is honest when he doesn't like a pilot, he says it. I don't think that this is arrogance, it's just honesty.
Raikkonen is the best anyway.

When i was talking pressure, I was talking the kind you would get with Schumacher as your copilot. That same kind of pressure Barichello has been getting these past few years.

In fact villeneuve is currently knowing that kind of pressure because he has criticized button before the season start and now button has more points than villeneuve. It's an embarrassing situation for villeneuve.

But I still think that villeneuve is a great pilot in a crap team like fisichella for example.

In my opinion, Raikkonen is the best.
I don't like montoya because he is too pretentious. Before he run his first gp, he thought that he would beat everyone. But since his first gp, he has won only 2 gp.
He is not a bad pilot but he is not a genius.

That's right but he is currently not good enough to beat schum or raikkonen.
And if every pilots had the same car, it would be worst for him because pilots like fisichella are better than montoya.
But I think that montoya has improved since his first season. He has more experience and so, he drives better but he can't be champion at this moment . And for the future, raikkonen or alonso are going to be a real problem for montoya.

I can’t stand barrichello too, for 2 reasons :
First, he’s not a great pilot. He’s not bad but he always follows the car who is in front of him and he just waits for a mistake from the pilot.
Second, barrichello always complains about everything. After Monaco(where he has gone totally wrong)he has blamed bridgestone, other pilots who were too slow… He never admits when he has driven badly. He always blame something or someone else.

The Canada GP festival has started and it's gonna keep running till the 15th.. im gonna call up my friends and see if anyone wants to go see the cars and babes with me. cross fingers

It sucks because mac laren has a lot of pressure now. Everybody is waiting for the mp4/18. If this car is not as competitive as the ferrari or more competitive than the ferrari, mac laren will be in trouble. Because now, it's too late to make a new car for the 2004 season. So if the mp4/18 is a crap car, the 2004 season will be lost (and also the 2003 season, of course).

LOIC

But if there is a mp4/19 for the 2004 season, there will be only little changes on the car. So if the mp4/18 is a crap car, even small changes won't make the mp4/19 a great car.
Moreover, mac laren has spent a lot of time and money for the mp4/18, so if the car sucks, there would be a lot of disappointment for the mac laren team(and for supporters too).
But I'm confident. The mp4/18 is a new car with a lot of innovations so it's not a surprise if there are some little problems.

News flash Canadian macrobreweries suck. I come from the land of microbrews. Trust me, you would never drink that swill you Canadians call beer if you were as spioled as I am.

Hocky-A great sport, like a intersting ice based versison of American football

Too bad America has stolen both your national past- time, as well as all of your best players, leaving Canadian hockey looking as pitiful as there baseball franchises.

They are more socially aware people

Correction: they just think they are socially aware. Like the communists on this board, the Canadians don't know shit.

Socialist Medicane

That is why Canadian who can afford it comes to the United States for serious medical attention, or surgery. Its funny. I can actually count on one hand the number of MRI's the Canadians have. The mismanagement of the SARS epidemic in Toronto is also further testament to the state of disrepair the Canadian Medical Community is in.

Canadians actual know what's going on in the world (for the most part)

Really? You actually trust the government run media you guys get up there. At least in the United States we have a multitude of sources to rely on, each offering a different perspective. In Canada, you can count on the liberally insane bias of the socialized media to skew the news to fit there agenda. This is also the reason why Canadians are deluding themselves when they claim they are more socially conscious.

coffeshops, you know what I mean

That's funny most of the coffee shops I saw were Starbucks, and if you wanted to get to one of those potsmoking coffe shops, you had to wade through a sea of bums. The stench was definitely enough to keep me away from the second rate coffee shops that allow you to smoke marajuana. I would prefer sitting in the confort of my living your rather than fighting with piece of shit bums to get to my destination.

British candy like Coffecrisps, Aero bars, etc, etc, you cant get them in the U$

You probably can't get them in the U.S. because they are not worth selling.

A well trained army that is designed for PEACEKEEPING, not invading countries that cant really fight back.

Ha! Your country could be overrun by mongels, if it weren't for your big brother to the south protecting your lazy asses.

Good, cheap unversity system

I hardly ever here of anything coming out of the Canadian academic institutions. Besides they are probably cesspools of liberalism.

Clean cities, at leasted compared to the U$

Yeah, enabling bums, by allowing them to piss and shit on your streets is real clean. I have never seen worse smelling cities than the ones in Canada. In fact, I saw the funniest thing in Vancouver. One bum was actually pushing another bum in a shopping cart. It inspired an idea I had for a T.V. show, the Internation Bum Olympics. Perhaps Canada could actually host them, seeing as how they are experts in the subject.

Quick Elections!! No Floridas!!

At least American politics matters on the world stage.

Well, that's all for now.

You're a moron! I could have done a better job selling your country than you did. Perhaps that is why tourism is down in Canada. They only hire Canadians on the tourism boards. If they hired Americans, who are notorious for there creativity, and innovative thought, then perhaps your economy wouldn't suck so badly.

I don't know which is the bigger loach on the American system, the Mexicans, or the Canadians. At least the Mexicans smell better.

The MP4-18 should smash Ferrari!

in your dreams pal

The car is great and is shown by lap times!

E.g. these!

TESTING TIMES
Paul Ricard

what? no ferrari in the lap records? hmmmmm smells fishy.
and i need to know what track it was on. sorry but pitting a mclaren against a toyota is no match. pit it against a ferrari and we'll see.

Correction: they just think they are socially aware.

This is sadly true. But I would not be surprised if more Canadians per capita where more aware than Americans per capita, but still the amount is too small for my likings.

That is why Canadian who can afford it comes to the United States for serious medical attention, or surgery

Note: CAN AFFORD. We care about everyone, not just the rich.

I can actually count on one hand the number of MRI's the Canadians have.

Do so.

The mismanagement of the SARS epidemic in Toronto is also further testament to the state of disrepair the Canadian Medical Community is in.

The mismanagement is a media ploy so that the goverment does not have to call an election. It has a crisis on hands. Also the 'problematic' part of it comes from the fact that the Conservatives slashed funding, hospital beds, doctors, nurses, and actually facilities. If they had increased or atleast kept funding as it was this problem would not have occured. The SARS epidemic is proof that the Conservative's plot to privatize healthcare is a failure and that we need to go back to a more socialised version of health care.

You actually trust the government run media you guys get up there.

Because it offers multiple perspectives in one show, and can be compared to countless other sources for backup. Including American stations, which often leave out, in comparision, a lot of information. Your media (CBS, Fox, MSNBC, and CNN) provide less information, but more flash.

In Canada, you can count on the liberally insane bias of the socialized media to skew the news to fit there agenda.

False the CBC is more likely to criticize the government in power, whatever their strip, than any other station I have watched before.

That's funny most of the coffee shops I saw were Starbucks,

Where were you? I have never seen a starbucks in Canada. Tim Hortons on the other hand...we have 4 in my town of 17 000, not to mention atleast 5 other coffee shops.

one of those potsmoking coffe shops,

Which Canada does not have.

Your country could be overrun by mongels

Except we don't go around the world pissing them off. That is why America is hated and Canada not so much.

if it weren't for your big brother

If you are our 'big brother' you are a rather abusive one. Soft wood lumber for example. You enjoy violating your own treaties don't you? No, you are more like a cousin that we try to ignore, but you are too fat and always stand in the way farting.

to the south protecting your lazy asses

Lazy? No. Our troops are some of the most effective in the world. Afganistan proved that. Americans on the other hand are too lazy to confirm whether tehy are bombing friend or foe.

I have never seen worse smelling cities than the ones in Canada.

Have you been to Ottawa? And then Detroit? Quit lying.

Perhaps Canada could actually host them, seeing as how they are experts in the subject.

Mass generalization. Mass generalization.

At least American politics matters on the world stage

Because everyone is afraid of your typically trigger happy leaders who hold the worlds biggest, deadliest gun and like to play Russian roulette with old friends.

I could have done a better job selling your country than you did

I doubt it mr yankee.

If they hired Americans, who are notorious for there creativity

"So Mr. American what should we do with the Town of Nippingsing to make it more appealing?"
"Nip-pissing?? How about put a McDonalds here and here and here and here so I don't have to eat any local food. And make sure they only take my money because I am too lazy to get it exchanged, and oh ya. Make the word easier to say!"

which is the bigger loach on the American system, the Mexicans, or the Canadians

Actaully America leaches off the raw resources and manufacturing capabilities of both Canada and Mexico, yet it always thinks that we are the ruthless blood suckers. Could it be that they are blind to their neighbours?

I remember when Bush thanked Prime Minister Poutine for endorsing his election race. If only all Americans lived up to his standard of brilliance!

The track is the Paul Ricard, in France. It's a good track.
Honestly, I think that the mp4/18 can beat the F2003-GA because it's a really innovating car. I've read some declarations of the members of ferrari team after that mac laren has officially shown the mp4/18 and the guys said that they were confident but they also admit that the mp4/18 seems to be a great car and that ferrari will have a strong competition for the future.

But Canada is certainly not the best country in the world.
Matter of fact, I hope I don't have to raise children in this country.

"Where were you? I have never seen a starbucks in Canada. Tim Hortons on the other hand...we have 4 in my town of 17 000, not to mention atleast 5 other coffee shops. "

Ummm, Pete, I hate to say this, but have you ever been to Canada ? Just kidding, but seriously, there are just as many Starbucks in Vancouver as there are in Seattle. I was in Van last week, by my hotel I counted 7 Starbucks in a 8 block stretch. I don't know about he East Coast, but West Coast Canada is covered in Starbucks.

You also said Canada doesn't have "those pot smoking coffee shops", which it does. Vacnouver has quite a few coffee shop/resteraunts where you can buy seeds, pipes, mushroom growing kits, and you can smoke all the pot you want.

I'm not trying to undermine you, I was just pointing this out.

Furthermore, I think comparing Canada to the U.S is ridiculous. They both have strong points and they both have weak points trying to figure out which one is better is not only pointless, but impossible. I love the small part of Canada that I've seen, it's beautiful, plus the people are generally very nice. The U.S is also beautiful, Seattle is one of the nicest cities in North America !! The land is great, the people are too, although alot of them are assholes, the same goes for any country.

I think both of our governments are fucked beyond repair, Canda's IMO is a little less fucked, but not enough for it to matter.

Only the qualifications and the race are really important.
Don't worry for mac laren.
I'm sure that Raikkonen will win the gp.
Moreover I read somewhere that there will have no rain saturday and sunday, so what happened yesterday is not what will happened today and tomorrow.

Concerning Villeneuve, he is not a good pilot when it rains. I hope that he will make a good race.

This gp was excellent. A lot of action.
But I'm disappointed for mac laren.
Raikkonen has made a good race. He was in 20th position for the start and 6th at the end of the race.
But you can't win when you are 20th at the beginning of the race and when you must fight against schumacher, alonso or montoya.
I hope it will be better the next time.

that was some good shit, those last laps when all first fours were packed together was mighty impressive...

That was great. Alonso was really fast. He is a great driver.

LOIC why do you call the car driver pilots?

In french, "pilote" means car driver. So, I thought that it was the same word in english and I was too lazy to use a dictionnary.
