Antifa Questions!?

I support Antifa 100%, but I've been wondering, what accomplishments have they made? The only news I've seen on them is that of their members being murdered in parts of Europe and Russia. What progress have they made against fascism and racism? I mean it just does not sound very Antifa for one of them to go out and murder Nazis, so what do they do?

Antifa is a collection of people who are against fascism and racism. I think it depends on what country they are in.

As I understand it, Antifa in Britain (and also most part of West Europe) puts up demonstrations and the like. In Sweden, for example, they also actively fight fascists physically - combat on the streets, grafitti on doors and windows, pouring paint in fascists' mailboxes (:laugh:) but also informing people of where the facists live.

The progress, I guess, is in a way indirect. If no one is there to counter-demonstrate the fascists, they would get their propaganda out. People would find it easier to join racist organizations. Now they would have to think about it twice, the risks increases since there is physical danger too.

But I've never heard that they have killed anyone. That wouldn't be so good with the mainstream public, and would give the ruling class another reason to shut down what free speach people have left. Nazis have killed people, even cops. They also have a long history of cocaine and amphetamine dealings.

Thanks comrade, I've been reading up, and my question was kinda off. I understand that if a leftist does something bad they are seen as a terrorist, but if a right winger does something bad, they usually get away with it.

I wasn't looking at the situation the right way, antifa has done a lot, it's just not as direct as you said.

the problem with your question is that its almost impossible to answer. If i look for example to the situation in my country (the netherlands) i think that afa/antifa has been one of the more important factors of the lack of succes that the neo-nazi's and extreem-right have in growing and organising i just cant proof it.
because its antifa's goal to prevent stuf hapening so its kind of hard to show the sucsesses, its like proving you have no weapons of massdestruction, its more easy to show were antifa untill now have failed (russia and certain parts of eastern germany).

i would say that the dutch antifa groups are more ethnic diverse than the rest of the autonomus left but yes, they are allmost completly white.
we have ties and contact with immigrant (worker) organisations and depending on the media publicity in advance of an action non-white people might join in the fun at the day is self but the, so too speak, rank and file are white, this is i think because most active AFA members are coming out of the squat movement and our ethnic diversities there sadly don't go further than polish and spanish people :rolleyes:.
The International socialists had an ANL-style front group for a while that was prety succesfull in reqruiting people of color but than they also focussed more on university students but after a few demonstrations they withred and died out.
Smashing up boneheads in the weekend seem to be fastly devoleping in an national sport for everybody ranging from ethnic youth groups too football hooligans
and "normal" people seem always very hapy with our work, efforts and help if there is a nazi pest in their neighboorhood but the tedious work of being at a lot of meetings, setting up campaigns, inteligence/surveliance etc etc asks for dedicated and prevably expiernced actvists and they are around here 99.9% of the time white, and by effect so is the antifa movement.

i heard that in germany it is a bit better thanx to the concious hiphop scene and the huge leftist imigrant worker groups.

although the make up of antifa is mainly white (not middle class kids in my experience tho) but this is a reflection of the countries themselves usually. England is a nation with an overwhelming white majority.
