View Full Version : Capitalist-lives. - Something to think about.

This message board exist in a free market society. The list of communist societies is dwindling. I am pretty sure "Capitalist-lives" is not available in Cuba or North Korea. You have to be able to afford computers and internet service first. If you can not afford to buy food, then you can not afford PCs (and Windows, poke at Bill Gates).
Would a "Capitalist-lives" political discussion be even allowed under any type of comunication medium under a communist society past and present?

let me repeat myself:
I have always heard of communsit propaganda, but I have never truely see it. Where is it, and are we sure its propganda and not just the highlights of what communism offers. Facism and capitalism needs brain washing because its just so ammoral, thats obvious and self evident, but even if some communist states have endulged in propaganda and hermerage of free speech/press, it really isnt needed. all thats needed is "everybody having the realization that any other economic system would be amoral".
And screw what hisory says about communism, I can tell you all about what capitalism does in the in the today
Are you joking, If your arguments against communism are it just doesnt work(which in this theoretical world it does), it makes everone serfs and there would be no freedom of speech, no one would bother with your site which would probably just recieve hate posts.
In this world, I would equivialte capitalism to a facist dictatorship, is it that bad if both where deemed as evil and therefore made taboo. In your dream world would you like me to make the site Hitler-lives.com
sometihng to think about.

OK. There is no communist propaganda. Maybe is it hard to find these days. Communist societies are dwindling. So then there is no food shortage in Cuba and North Korea?
Forget history, you will repeat it. This is about computing, but the lesson is very important:
"we need to know enough about our history to protect ourselves from it and not be condemned to repeat it, "

Steve:
Can I ask your permision to use your quotation: "And screw what hisory says about communism" for future reference?
Unrelenting Steve

when you put it like that it sounds grossley out of context! you can quote;
"And screw what hisory says about communism, I can tell you all about what capitalism does in the today if you wont to compare"
that addition i think puts the quote more in contexted.
but I am not the poster child for communism, so quote "me" not "a communist", I have only been one for about 3 months and do not profess to speak for it.

Ever heard of econimic sanctions Kelvin90210....Oh, right....there's no possible way that economic sactions from the world's leading superpower and it's *****-like cronies would ever be the cause of any type of econimic problems within the [b]target[b] country.
Grow up little boy....perhaps some higher education would be in order for you..I'm sure you can afford it.

What economic sanctions? Can you be more specific?
BTW 90703 and 90701 were much better neighborhoods than 90210. The kids from 90210 were lucky if they got into our schools.
So then there is no food shortage in Cuba
There isn't a food shortage, there is a beef shortage, and a milk shortage. Cows take up a lot of land. They are on an isalnd. They have a lot of pork though.

I cant believe you miss quoted me right after I told you what I would like to be quoted on:
I didnt say I would like it if you quoted me on:
"And screw what hisory says about communism, I can tell you all about what capitalism does in the today"
I said I would like you to quote me:
"And screw what hisory says about communism, I can tell you all about what capitalism does in the today if you want to compare" so the context could be preserved.
I cant believe your underhandedness. and please change your quotation of me to what it should be, but of course I cant make you, but Im still shocked you would ask for my approval to just then overcome my stipulated approval.
Failing any action taken by Kelvin, just spread the word that that quote is out of context as it stands, and is utterly false in its current form(as its on Kelvins signature)

Back to the orginal question by kevin. Communist tend to be more intellectual and intelligent right. So we get decent jobs even though we disagree with the system. Can you follow so far. We might not be the richist people out there, but we do ok. Hence the reason we have computers. Think about kevin, if we were able to moblize the working class, there would not be a theory section on this website, it would be under pratice.

actually there is
I'm a democratic socialist
Communists advocate violent revolution
I advocate electing officials and changing govt. through democracy
Communists believe in total state control of buisness or total public control
I advocate state control of natural resources,transportation,education,health care, and other basic needs(housing,finding employment,etc.)
Communism=no private industry
I advocate small buisness
Communism is socialism but socialism isn't communism
There are dozens of types of socialism
I suggest you look into that

Sure I am aware of economic sanctions on Cuba. You made a very broad and unclear blanket statement.
Then why wasnt the economic might of all the other communist friends sufficient to build up Cuba to a modern industrial nation? While communist countries became stagnant in post-WW2, free-market Marshall Plan recipients rebuilt themselves and had economic explosions.

Are you saying that communist nations require trade with free market countries to stay economically viable? Why wans't the Soviet trade block good enough?
