The new Joan of Arc on a crusade to stop French unions causing misery to millions
By Philip Delves Broughton in Paris
(Filed: 04/06/2003)

"France's exhaustion with its unions has found its voice in a 21-year-old student, Sabine Herold, who is challenging the silent majority to revolt against the strikes crippling her country and causing havoc for British travellers."

"With schools and government offices closed yesterday, Channel ferries halted, and airlines cancelling most of their flights to and from France, Mlle Herold called the union members 'reactionary egotists'"

----------

"Mlle Herold shot to prominence on May 25, when hundreds of thousands of union members marched through Paris to protest against the government's pension and de-centralisation reforms. She addressed 2,000 people in front of the Paris town hall."

"She pointed to where the unions were marching and to loud applause shouted: "We will not give up the streets to them. For once, we are going to tell them 'No'."

This woman is a *****.

How can this piece of shit say that unions(who fight for the future of french workers and with the sympathy and the support of most of the french)are egoist?
When workers are on strike, they are not paid just to protect the rights of workers. This is not the definition of egoism.
Moreover this ***** say:"I have lessons and exams, but I have no bus service. I pay for my carte orange [a monthly public transport ticket] but I have no underground service. Later on, I will pay my taxes, but my children won't go to school. Like all of us here today, I am angry."
For me she's egoist because she wants that thousands of people stop the strike and accept everything who come from the bossmen just because she can't take the bus.

When people who are in favor of these reforms try to demonstrate(with the encouragements of the goverment) 1 or 2 weeks ago; there were only 100 or 200 people. What a bunch of pathetic fuckers.

I just hate that kind of people whose only goal in life is to be exploited by their boss. Fortunately, they are so stupid(and so are their arguments) that nobody can trust in them nor follow them.

To finish, I will add that the name of this *****'s organisation( "Liberté J'Ecris Ton Nom" )is from a poem named Liberté from Paul Eluard who was a communist. It shows the stupidity of her.

I dont know anything about this situation, but I just think this must be said;

When people strike there are three outcomes, the poeple who are on strike can go back to work, they can strike forever or the government can submit to the demands so the people will go back to work. So if you agree with that assessment it is only logical the goverment is just as at fault for the bus services not working as the striking workers. Their inaction renders them just as proactive in sustaining the strike as the workers action (their striking).

You've outdone yourself this time DC.

The fact that british people being made uncomfortable on thier little family outings to see the fucking Eiffel Tower is being used as an excuse is absurd.

Don't you read this shite before you post it DC?

I agree with the right to strike. However I see the French in general to overdo it a little.

For example when we had are BSE scare a few years ago the French government banned British beef even from reliable sources just in the knowladge that it would further dammage Britih farming and promote French farming exports. As you may guess the French were not in our good books so the British people (not the ruling classes) launched a massive campain to buy British goods rather than French goods. The French farmers got uopn their usual high horse and started to campain against the "evil" British scum who were boycotting their goods and went and got the lorry drivers who transported there goods to block the channel and strike etc.

This i find quite dumb because at the time we In britain could not have cared less we were mightily pissed off at the French in general as it was, there farmers blocking the channel we saw as a challange against are right to buy what we liked from who we liked and did it even more.

But here is another example of French industrial actions were not helping the situation one little bit in fact just further damaging the situation. All they did was further piss off the Brits and dammage there economy. I believe that people should strike in serious situations like the British fire men have been doing. They put their lives on the line every day for the people and what do they get in return...? Pee nuts

It's exactly what the french government and french cappies say. And it's really stupid because people decide to go on strike when their rights are threatened. So if french are often in strike, that's because of the government and the bossmen who doesn't give a fuck about the workers rights.

Ye well take that strike I mentioned that was organised by the French capitalist landed class farmers, who were out to defend there profit margin in the UK.
