So for one of my classes I have a 15 page paper to write regarding the Russian Communist Party since the collapse of the USSR. I have some leads, but am curious as to what others on here think in regards to this, and if any of you have any resources to follow. Due to the length of the paper, some help would be great. I'm interested in things such as leadership, leadership structure, party program, successes/failures, response to Putin, do these groups follow old hierarchical soviet models or are they further left, etc.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

I don't have anything to prove this, but apparently there have been reports that members of the KPRF have attacked gay pride parade(s) in Russia.

The party ceased to exist with the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 and was succeeded by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in Russia and the communist parties of the now-independent former Soviet republics.

The CPRF is led by Gennady Zyuganov, who co-founded the party in early 1993 with senior Soviet politicians Yegor Ligachev and Anatoly Lukyanov among others.
