Competition as in other politcal parties.

It depends on their position relative to the revolution.

If they've taken up arms against it, then, as they say, all's fair.

depends what politics they have.

if they want to restore capitalism then its a fight until one side is defeated if they only have different methods towards communism then its going to be a lot of debating and voting on how to move forward.

It depends on what they do:

- If they take up arms against the revolution, then obviously we'll have to fight them.
- If they are peaceful but advocate a return to capitalism, they will be barred from holding political office for some time, but otherwise left alone.
- If they are peaceful and do not advocate a return to capitalism, then obviously we'll do nothing; in fact we might encourage them to participate in the new democratic process.

We should let them remain, but in the context of revolutionary democracy as opposed to beourgiose democracy.

I envisage a 'people's parliament' where reactionaries would have adequate forum to air their views.

I'd imagine that their arguments would fall on deaf ears though, since people would be materially better off and would unlikely want to return to the previous status quo.

As with religion, the root causes of right wing arguments (poverty, social exclusion etc) would wither and die.

If a capitalist party was actually winning people over in our society it means we must have fucked up big time and that the people's material needs aren't being met.

They would be allowed the same rights as any other party I imagine, especially if they aren't in any serious position to win over voters. And even if they are, then it would most likely be solely our fault and we will deserve it. Democracy must be preserved at all costs.

You're forgetting that capitalist parties will try anything to regain power and that material circumstances will probably be "hard" after the revolution depending on several factors (civil war, isolation, etc).

But yeah, capitalists can run for representatives in a workers democracy. How they would achieve a majority is a mystery for me though as representatives in soviets are at all times under recall by those who voted them, earn a normal workers wage and can only run for positions a limited number of times. I can see a lot of them dropping out of politics just because there is no way for them to carry out their agenda. There will most likely be some elements though that are serious about returning to capitalism, but as they cannot use the soviet democracy for their purposes (very much in the same way socialists cannot achieve socialism via the capitalist parliament), an armed paramilitary is much more likely (as opposed to mass action that we socialists are striving for, because of the simple fact that capitalists lack any mass). These elements obviously need to be outlawed.

And lolstalinists and their gulags, idiots.
