North Korea's nukes - do you think they would actually even

I honestly don't know, Kim Jung Il might if he is attacked, but I hope that he would understand the revenge the united states would take (he launchs one, amerikkka launches 20.) I hope they don't, but if the usa invades them, then I would support their military and the means they may have to resort to to defend themselves.

Kim Jong Il is a little wacky. MI5 found him to have emotional problems and he is known to get angry if people dont pay attention to him.

He also has the largest collection of Daffy Duck in the world and one of the largest collections of porn on this planet. The 2 by them selves are ok but the mixture of the 2 disturb me.

Technically North korea and South Korea are at war so if North Korea decided to break the cease-fire they wouldnt be in violation of international law by continueing it but they could be charges for waging a war of agression for their attack in the 50's.

He would use the nuke and go down in flames probably. A conventional war however would be bloody. I hope it never happens. North Korea has 10,000 pieces of artillery along the DMZ and the capability of hitting Seoul with 500,000 shells an hour. And a good military to back it up. They can attack at any time with out making any readjustment in their current deployment. They are brainwashed to the core so you can count on a Japenese WW2 style fight.

Now this is question I have, can South Korea hold off a North Korean attack? It is a hard question, but I do know with our CHinese supplies North Korea would loose a war of attrition after a while so if they want to win it will have to be done before their stockpiles run out (a BBC article estimated 1 million tons of ammunition and a huge gas dump and thousands of underground bunkers) .

But where would they launch it? not on their own soil, most likely not at south korea(where americian bases are), and probally not directly at america(very little chance of getting throught, most likely to be intercepted if deployed threw missles).

i don't know why, but i am reminded of one of chairman mao's post when he said "Kim Jong Il is a man of peace". I can't recall any instances of him really doing anything cruel.

i can't think of many reasons why he would not launch, but i posted here to find out what can the capitalists use to justify an attack or hositilities against north korea?

We wouldnt go to war with the North, it is unwise and know that. However if they launch their Tapeo-Dong missiles with a nuclear warhead then justification for war will have been met.

North Korea actually has 3 classes of society: Loyal, Wavering, and Dangerous. The dengerous people are in concentration camps. I've read 2 different stories on msnbc.com of people who have survived their ordeal and it was auwful.

It was these events which led to the Pearl Harbour bombings, of which the American President, or atleast his military, should have known about and I believe let it come as it did as an excuse to enter the war.

Yeah we had a gunn boat the patrolled a river in China. It was a mistake though, I dont think the Japenses did it intentional. We actually determined that Yamamoto's fleet was sailing toward Pearl Harbor, a message was sent but it wasnt recieved until the bombing stopped. Some say Roosevelt allowed it, but it is mere speculation.

Please read a history book about Ivan the Terrible. Russian expansion started under him (Well there was a Russian state before the Mongols showed up). Russia is much bigger today than orgionally. So dont pin the same crap on America, you're just as guilty.

This is irrelevant because the peace was settled at the 38th paralell because the American/Canadian/Brit/ect force was beaten back and unable to advance to reconquer N.Korea. I believe the N. Koreans where below the 38th in some spots. It wasnt a perfectly linear line.

Which probaly what caused the stalemate at and near the 38th paralell. Because the US army, since that day, has proved its self insufficent to do anything without the help of aircraft. What does that say about the Army? The Chinese, without air superiority could keep your troops dead in their path. Hmmm....

Modern warfare requires air superiority. Just because you have aircraft doesnt mean you gain air superiority it completely. The Chinese were useing Russian MiG's.

You also have to take into consideration that Korea is mountainous, it is hard to attack in those conditions. Overall both sides fail in their objective.


Also Canada was involved as well

Japanese ship? Please get your facts inorder and come back. (What happened to those sweat shops on US military bases?)

Economic and diplomatic efforts were being made to stop Japanese imperialistic expansion throught Asia. That is why Japan needed oil. To feed the military machine.

If your an American in 1930, what do you do?
