There is a cult in existence that is more powerful than any other, and yet goes completely unnoticed. Its tendrils extend out across the entire earth, and all serve it to a greater or lesser extent. It is not Scientology, nor the Moonies, but the Cult of the Invisible Hand.
These people have a bizarre and dangerous set of beliefs. They do not believe that self-serving behavior just morally acceptable, they believe that it is the moral imperative. They feel that if everybody acts in the greediest manner possible, all will benefit.
No, I am not kidding.
They believe that, if everybody acts in the greediest way they can think of, it will please their mysterious god, the Invisible Hand, and all will be rewarded. However, they explain the failure of this to happen by claiming that not everybody has met their ideal.
Despite the ridiculous nature of their claims, they have an influence to rival most established religions. We must seek them out and fight them wherever they are, and force them into to open. We cannot be sure of general safety otherwise.
