Should Euthernasia be legalised in the UK?

I belive that it should be and both voluntery and assisted suicude should be made legal and I don't belive that say only volutery euthernasia should be legal and not assited

Honestly, I think it might be O.K, but there would have to be a ton of techincalities and restrictions.

I feel if you have some horrible diease, like bone cancer, and you choose to die before it becomes unbarable it is your choice and one I respect. By adding a doctor into the mix, you can be more sure it will be done "right" as to quickily and cleanly, ensuring you a rather painless way out. If you try on your only and "mess up" you might just end up in more pain and suffering.

euthanasia should be legalized, both assisted and unassisted, however you're absolutely right, urban rubble. somewhere in the netherlands or new zealand or something there are people, particularly old ones who are afraid to go to the hospital because when they become crowded, doctors will euthanize elderly patients.

one old lady expressed such a concern and her friend made her go. it was on a friday. she specifically told the doctor to make sure she stayed alive. well, the doctor promised and then went off for the weekend. when he came back, he went to check on her and there was a different person in the bed. he asked the physician on duty what had happened and the physician said that they needed some more room and the lady was in bad shape.



that's euthanasia gone horribly wrong.


but i really think it's cruel and inhumane to leave a grown man in a wheelchair who can't even wipe his own butt. it's not right to leave a 10 y/o girl hooked up to life support when she's gone brain dead and has fluids gathering in her joints transforming into a total vegetable. the scenarios are endless but euthanasia ought only to be available to someone who cannot profit from life anymore or someone who is going to die a very horrible death in the near future.

I agree, it should be legal, but we must be aware that much beuracracy and restrictions, and etc. will be needed to prevent abuse of such a drug.

either way, it would be a tricky thing to allow into society as I know it.

the way i see it is, you have a right to enjoy life. you have a right to die if you don't enjoy life. don't take what i'm saying the wrong way. what i mean is, you have the right to decide what to do with your own life, living it or not living it if you won't be able to live it well.

now, you shouldn't take your life if you've dropped out of college. that's silly. there are ways around it. but people talk about euthanasia as if it's homicide. as if doctors will randomly go around killing people because they can and calling it assisted suicide. and i'm incoherent. not quite drunk, but high on life. i'll be quiet and let you contemplate my depth of thought.

Its not even that any one can commit euthanisa and help a person die it does not have to be a docter.

My aunt had multiple sclrosis (god knows how you spell that), i think that if I had a desiese like that and I lost complete use of my limbs and started to have to urinate into a bag the I would want to be helped to die.

My Grandma told my mom that she wanted to die, and my mom bought her a stuffed owl, and now she holds it well she shifts in and out of comatose states wanting to live forever again.

She has the same cancer as Terry Fox and her pancreas is leaking fluids because of a botched surgery.
