THE POTSDAM DECLARATION
According to the declaration the sovereignty of Japan would completely be confined as defined by the allies. Japan is asked to surrender all her colonies
while the allies are to free to keep any. They also asked for the surrender of
war criminals and those who are responsible for inflicting cruelty to the allied soldiers .Raw materials supplied to Japan would be distinguished and according to the choice of the allies . There by restricting the growth of the Japanese
economy. Japan would indeed become a bunny in the hands of the allies other
wise they must prepare for utter and prompt destruction
The terms of the declaration were very well mishandled .The terms issued upon Japan were too subjugate to accept .the terms which clearly mentioned about the absence of any deviations was a rather provocative and
invocative one. A declaration to surrender is suppose to frame the end of a war not to father intensity in .It should at lest mitigate the tension in the war rather than create further tension .Any one with proper common sense
would be stratified by such words. The asking of complete disarmament thereby making Japan defenseless and prohibiting free trade was mere enslavement .Ironically though the treaty argues against enslavement
The Potsdam declaration was never a declaration. It was a humiliating taunt written by inexperienced and scapegoat statesmen who had no idea what they were writing .the declaration should merely have been like the treaty of Versailles dealing with monetary settlement rather than unfair and inconceivable reprecautions .August 6 is very well the day of fools rather than April the first .It was like the diplomats had already decided to drop the bomb before making the declaration JUST TO SHOW CASE THE US POWER EVER SINCE THEN THERE ARE ARE STONES OF US IMPERIALISM EVRY WHER MY DEAR COMRADES IT IS TIME WE EMBER UNTO OUR SOULS THE EVER GLEEFUL FIRE OF REBELION AGAIST THE BESTIALITY OF US IMPERIALISM WHICH HAS MANIPULATED THE WORLD FORM AUGUST 6 TILL DATE
LONG LIVE INTEGRATION

I actually wrote a decent response to this but I was logged out. :cursing:

(Very) Briefly my response was:

1. Since when have imperialist wars been about fairness? You put a lot of blame on the American declaration, but the militarists were not the ones jumping for peace.

2. The Treaty of Versailles covered much more than monetary reparations; Germany's colonies, territories, defense forces, Germany's responsibility for the war, League of Nations etc etc.

3. This highlights that the allied 'anti-fascists' and 'anti-imperialists' didn't care one iota about 'freedom' or 'democracy.' When it came to their economic interests they were just as ruthless as Nazi Germany.

4. The 'options' which are presented to us between a choice of Japanese imperialism and American imperialism shows, once again, that no ruling class is progressive and that those calling for participation in the war were simply on the side of imperialism that they found most morally comfortable, but had nothing to do with opposing war or advocating class struggle.
