The music of Hanns Eisler sung by Ernst Busch embodies the best of the principles of socialist realism, party-mindedness, and close ties with the masses. Busch created a distinct vocal style characterized by an incisive declamatory quality, energy, and an oratorical expressiveness.

A lot of Busch's songs are available online. "Roter Oktober" mostly consists of Russian folk and Soviet revolutionary songs. The music in "Echo von Links" is mostly by Hanns Eisler with Brecht and Weinert.
