Who here listens to the anarcho-punk band Crass? They are one of my favorite bands, and my favorite songs by them are probably Sheep Farming In The Falklands, End Result, and It's The Greatest Working Class Rip-off.

I only like a few songs, most notably "Bloody Revolutions" and "If There Was No Government." Those are really good.

I agree that they are too serious, they even poked fun at themselves for it in Have A Nice Day

dont like Crass never did, not musicaly and espacely not politicaly.
I'm with mark barnsley (http://users.macunlimited.net/markbarnsley/) on this one, he once said when crass came up in an discussion that Crass with their pacifist preaching was the single most damaging thing ever to hapen to the revolutonary potential of the punk and anarchist scene.

I can't even listen to them anymore. I've honestly tried to put on one of my favorite songs by them(So What) and I just turn it off because it makes me mad for some reason.
I used to be heavily into them for the longest time, now I just can't take the pacifist posturing, the moralistic preaching, or the crappy musicianship.

Crass is horrible, nuff said.
A better idea would be to check out the myriads of punk bands who are better musicians and write better lyrics

Crass - I tried to like them, but I couldn't take their terrible production and generally bad music.
I like punk, but Crass is just terrible.
It's all about the crust for me.

They rejected their pacifism at the end.

probably put crisis down as my favoret political band, had some classs tunes
used to listen to death in june a lot when I was younger, dunno what I saw in them now
I'm not sure how to view them really, on one had they seem to promote a romantisised view of nazism but then one of the members got kicked out for being a nazi, think their image is more about the main guy getting off to big men in uniforms rather than any political motivation

Cant say I was ever able to get behind Crass. To little talent I would suppose. But what ever to each their own.
