What is the leftist view on what science would call 'Alpha'?

1. This probably belongs in the science forum.
2. I don't think there's a "left" view of it. It is a pretty established fact that some in some species, certain males take a dominant role in the social structure. I don't see what other view of it one could take.

I'm just asking, because I may have had the impression that when you say 'equality' it meant to also abolish natural occurences such as someone being an Alpha Male/Female.
That puzzled me for a bit.
Ps: I thought this thread was deleted for a second there, couldn't find it.

It should't if you understand what alfa male means in what context and what equlity means in what context. The expression of alfa male status is different within different species. Some alfa males are subject to the democracy of the feet. That is they cannot rule but within a sertain context of majority consensus. Such as with cows choosing a new grasing field. An alfa male may gesture a direction but if sufficient majority of cows face another direction, they go that way. For humans this it's not set in stone. Our human organizastion is complex and diverse and hinge on many factors.
