Yes, I know we have plenty of Obama threads as it is, but I feel this article really deserves attention. It does an excellent job at explaining why Obama has gained so much popularity, while at the same time making it clear why the ruling class has put its stock in him.

The entire article is a great read. I especially enjoyed his analysis of the American tendency to repress truth and understanding of imperialism (not only in our media but in our own minds).
