Comrade Gorley

In my opinion, no one deserves the title more than:

George Lincoln Rockwell
(1918-1967)
Rockwell, the founder and "spiritual leader" of the American Nazi Party, epitomizes all the wickedness of capitalism. He represents immediate and complete acceptance of the system, fighting valiantly but without cause, and stirring up a crowd with patriotic and religious pride.
George Lincoln was the son of a vaudeville performed known as "Doc" Rockwell. (Nothing more American than a guy wearing an Uncle Sam outfit, a hat, and a cane dancing on a makeshift stage.) He was originally an illustrator and cartoonist before entering politics (ironically, so was Hitler). When he started the ANP, he had the headquarters established at 2507 North Franklin Road in Arlington, Virginia and immediatly began a crusade against "queers", blacks, and Jews (he detested Sammy Davis Jr.). He roused the crowds by preaching to them about the White Christians who built America and against the socialists who were trying to give blacks equality, and claiming that Negroes took advantage of their support. He formed "The Church of Racism", and although he was accepted by much of the Bible Belt of the South, many Christian religious leaders rejected him. He smoked a corncob pipe openly and often imitated General MacArthur to gain support from right-wing patriots. Distorting the term coined by Stokely Carmichael, "Black Power", Rockwell entitled his propoganda book "White Power", and the more successful sequel "This Time the World". However, in private, he admitted it was all a facade. Although he fought as a pilot in WWII, he admitted that he wished he, and the States, had fought on the other side. Also, he viewed Hitler as "Messiah", and viewed Christianity as "feminine", particularly the practice of "loving your neighbour". Near the end of his life, he ran for governor of Virginia for the ANP in 1965 and in 1966 was given the famous Playboy interview by Negro reporter Alex Haley. (Rockwell's request had been that the interviewer was not Jewish.) Ironically, although he recieved many death threats from minorities, and the side of his house was riddled with bullets, the one that took his life was actually fired by a fellow white supremist named John Patler. He was a member of the ANP who thought Rockwell was not active enough; as a result, he was kicked out and in retaliation assasinated his former employer. How the mighty have fallen.
(BTW, as a Christian I'd like to apologize for all the bigoted bullshit done in Jesus' name.)
I think you'd agree that these traits make Rockwell a great candidate for the title of Patron Saint of Capitalism (heck, I could go on). What do you think? Is there anyone else more eligible for the position? And if he were alive today, what would Dubya think about him?
