iv been going around some book shops and libraries looking for the communist manifesto and other communist writings and there seems to be a regular occurence is that ther always seems to be more fascist books than communist. in my local book shop there was one book on stalin and the rest was either mein kempf or some other nazi bullshit. i was just wondering why do you think that in a capitalist society they would sell more fascist than communist literature?
EDIT-its the same with education i dont know about your schools but when we were learning about WW2 we learnt about mussolini and hitler and only a mention of Stalin

Fascist literature sells more than any leftist literature usually does.
All the time at school I hear people talking about buying Mein Kampf and never any leftist books.

This is my experience as well. Whenever I travel I tend to always wind up visiting the local book stores at least once. I can't actually recall seeing Mein Kamph more then once. Theres always a lot of writing from Marx and modern leftists such as Chomsky

There are usually more theoretical books on Marxism and other lefty stuff than there are books on fascist theory. Then again there's not much theory to fascism. They usually have more on fascism in the history section though.

It took my local bookstore almost 2 months to order a copy of the Communist Manifesto.
But you can walk in and get Nazi literature, along with all sorts of White Nationalist materials.

maybe it is because of the nature of American politics? anti-communism etc, i could get the Manifesto from loads of shops here and even in Carlisle the culturally devoid hole it is

Well then that explains everything.
A lot of books Libraries have are books people requested, so it's pretty likely, especially if you live in a hyper-conservative area, that people are ordering it.

I don't know...in Florida I still come across leftist stuff (although they don't have much titles available) more so the fascist stuff.
In Puerto Rico, the English leftist stuff is also somewhat slim but you can find many kinds in Spanish especially for anarchism (for some odd reason; I've never heard of a sizable anarchist presence anywhere in Puerto Rico...).

There's a lot of leftist books around where I currently live. (NY)
I did see Mein Kampf in the university book store here, though. I picked it up and read a bit of it, although I kinda felt self-conscious about it. I shouldn't have, but I did...I didn't want people to get the idea that I was a Nazi or something.
I didn't find it to be a very good book, personally. Hitler wasn't a very good writer.

Mein Kampf = huge ramble.
I've only ever found it on the internet, though. Never have I seen a paper copy of Mein Kampf or any other Nazi trash, really.

no i'll look them up, i find it amusing that the men at the 'top' of the Bolshevik party (Lenin, Trotsky, Bukharin etc) can be considered to be amongst the greatest minds of their era where as at the head of the Nazi party you have a failed artist and a failed chicken farmer who met at some nerdy folklore class

Hey hey hey, Charley Chaplains 'stache was the pinnacle of moustachyness back in the day.
Anyway, I've never found too many faschist writings around my area, most of the used book stores I go to have loads of leftist writings from Marx, Kropotkin, Rocker, ad infinitum. Then again I've never specifically looked for Mein Kampf or whatever other faschist books there are.

Painting by Hitler.
He wasn't a bad painter, I don't think. Just a terrible human being. Kind of like a much worse version of Salvador Dali.
Obviously, Dali was a far, far better painter and sculptor (Then again, Dali was probably one of the best ever) than Hitler, but I mean...they're both good artists, terrible human beings.

Another one by Adolph.
I agree, he wasn't a bad painter. He was fairly skilled...many people can paint like that, but he seemed to know the craft, at least.
Most of his paintings seem to be buildings and landscapes.
