Without a doubt, my vote goes to:

George Lincoln Rockwell
(1918-1967)

He was the founder of the American Nazi Party, the epitome of Anglo-Saxon bigotry formed by British immigrants towards those from less wealthy sections of the world. But it gets worse: He was also the uber-conservative, opposed to all social protest.

"Arrogant traitors parade through American streets burning American flags, and flying enemy Vietcong flags, the flags under which enemy troops are now killing American boys. I try to get the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Birchers, Klan - anybody - to help stop this unspeakable outrage. Nobody will do a thing except talk about it. So I - George Lincoln Rockwell - go out and tear down the first enemy flags in the District of Columbia. And I go to jail for it! My brave lads in Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas, New York - everywhere - keep tearing down the commie red flags - and going to jail! So the American Legion passes resolutions condemning us as "tied in with the Communists." So do the Birchers! "

-"White Power", Chapter 1.

On top of that he represented superficial religious pride. George Lincoln Rockwell professed to be a Protestant, faithfully attending church every Sunday and attempting to get right-wing churches involved in his white supremacy campaign. He wrote the following "Battle Song" for the ANP:

We march and fight, to death or on to victory
Our might is right, no traitors shall prevail
Our hearts are steeled against the fiery gates of hell
No shoot or shell, can still our mighty song.
Our sword is truth, our shield is faith and honor
In age or youth, our hearts and minds we pledge
Though we may day, to save our people and our land
This cause will stand, our millions marching on.

We close our ranks, in loyalty and courage
To god our thanks, for comrades tried and true
Let traitors quail, and fear the wrath of honest men
Who rise again, to smash the devil's throng.

We march and fight, to death or on to victory
Our might is right, no traitors shall prevail
Our hearts are steeled against the fiery gates of hell
No shot or shell, can still our mighty song.

Can't you just see him standing before a giant waving flag clutching a Bible to his chest? In fact, the homepage of the ANP (http://www.americannaziparty.com) refers to him as White Nazi's "spiritual leader". However, he privately admitted that Christianiy was a facade used to get the crowds obsessed with his crusade- thus using religion as "the opiate of the masses".

Rockwell never viewed Christianity as anything more than a marketing tool. In fact, he despised Christianity and everything it represented. To him, Christianity was a "feminine" and weak religion. Notions of forgiveness and charity and loving one's enemies were anathema to him and he despised those who embraced those beliefs.

If Rockwell had any personal religious beliefs, they were closer to Germanic Odonism.

A little while back, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) celebrated 50 years on the air with a week of their best programs throughout the decades (the 50s on Monday, the 60s on Tuesday, the 70s on Wed. etc) and on Tuesday showed clips from "This Hour Has Seven Days", a very controversial Canadian talk show/news program. Rockwell was one of the most controversial of their guests. They showed a clip of him talking, between puffs on his corncob pipe. I don't remember his exact words (although I do have the entire week on tape), I do remember that he said that, although he wasn't "religious", if he was he would probably view Hitler as "the Second Coming".

As a Christian, I apologize for all the cappie bullshit done in it's name.

He was the living embodiment of capitalism (I could and would go on except that I have other engagements) and as a result gets my vote as the Patron Saint of Capitalism.

What do you all think?
