While getting closer to the 23rd of November, the date on which the national elections of the Venezuelan states will take place, the danger of the opposition seems to increase aiming to prevent – by all legal and illegal methods – the Bolivarian revolution from achieving a new success and regaining the electoral trust which had become destabilized after aborting the poll made on the suggested constitution of the year 2007.

The same timing of the coup planed by Venezuelan military men and the actions of the Nazi separatists in Bolivia was not a coincidence. The carrying out of the coup plan to overthrow President Chavez and replace him with a suppressive military government could not have succeeded without destabilizing the stability of the country of which the president is the closest ally of President Chavez, President Evo Morales. Causing disorder in Bolivia and placing it in a situation where it becomes subject to rupture to several states was therefore planed in order to destroy any attempt by President Morales to carry a savior plan for the Venezuelan revolution.

However, the plans of the Venezuelan opposition and the separatist Bolivian financial junta in cooperation with the American imperialism has failed due to reasons that make us realize we are in front of a unique historical era which we should not pass without investing. The Venezuelan revolution proved that it has become stronger than before and that the coup attempt against it, which seeks an apostasy towards capitalism, is no longer at the same level of difficulty as it was before such as in the 2002 coup attempt under which the coup men had almost assassinated President Chavez and were able to enter the presidential palace for several hours; this time, although their intend to get rid of the democratically elected president was their main objective, they have failed even to carry out their plans which have remained only in their minds and on the recorders of the Venezuelan security forces.

In addition to that, Bolivians will not repeat previous experiences by giving up their democracy and class struggle; they went down to the streets quickly in order to encounter the coup men and their murderers; they have stopped a criminal plan that was being set by the opposition leaders and their rented mercenaries in order to inform the slaves of capitalism and the imperialist enemies of democracy that the people of Latin America have started to rise up, that this renaissance will continue, and that holding tight to it and to its continuity is a fateful issue for those people.

As for the North American imperialism, it is still suffering the financial crisis which is destroying it; it has not yet gathered its forces and abilities to search for solutions of which one could be to reduce the internal impasse temporarily by transferring it into a military conflict in new regions of the world. This confusion stage in which the worst and most bloody imperialism is living provides a space of time for the people of Latin America which are searching for their independence far away from any foreign slavery or national tyranny in order for them to continue their Bolivarian revolution and to take more firm and accelerating steps forward towards union of their countries and freedom of their people by building the socialism of the 21st century.

This “space of time”, in which imperialism is in its most weak points, is another opportunity offered by history for the revolution; it’s a unique reward and if Bolivar’s revolution in Venezuela has lost it, without taking the chance to revive and revolutionize the society and to export the revolution continently and even internationally, it would then be committing a crime not only against the struggles of the Venezuelan poor and the sacrifices of the revolutionary people of Latin America but also against humanity which is thirsty for an alternative to the darkness it is living in.

Our revolution, the Venezuelan revolution, has succeeded until now in taking advantage of the international financial crisis and the changes on the international scene; for it is working to promote the alternative economic system which it’s building as well as the socialist ideology as an option which offers people peace and decent living through overthrowing the capitalist systems in its both phases: democratic and authoritarian.

In another context, the revolution has also succeeded in benefiting from Russia’s need for obtaining allies in different regions of the world in order for those allies to bring back Russia’s lost influence as a rising power on the international level. Although the convergence to Russia does not meet the satisfactions of most leaders of the revolutionary left especially in the Latin continent: some consider it another imperialism which will replace the American imperialism, and others consider that it’s a threat to the region by carrying torments into it from the United States; however, President Chavez did not take any steps neither is he intending to make Venezuela dependant on Russia. He knows that Russia is being governed by a ruling class whose interests could intersect with the interests of the Venezuelan revolution at this stage but it would further contradict them strongly due to a clear contradiction between a country in which the working class has won political sovereignty and another which is governed by business men. The difference in economic systems between both countries and the difference of their class objectives guarantee that no dependency will occur not today neither anytime in the future; the issue is just an intersection of interests stage which requires that one takes advantage of especially in the mean time when Venezuela is in strong need for technology which is nationally unavailable and of which Russia is a storage.

As the Venezuelan Revolution was always the first in Latin America to propose social reforms and leave neoliberalism behind, in spite of rejections by the rest of the countries to such an option at the time, it is also the first today to seek, through a confident political vision, to achieve as much gains as possible from this stage and seize all opportunities in a way that serves its socialist revolution.

With such international changes and decline in the influence of the united states which necessarily means a decline in the abilities of the violent opposition which does not believe in any democratic tools nor any continuation of the Latin revolutionary renaissance through the increase in the popularity of the leaders who adopt this path such as in Bolivia and the Ecuador, the opportunities of the socialist revolution increase in Venezuela and the Latin continent as a whole by continuation and advancement within conditions which couldn’t have been better than they are now; this increases hopes which awaits more of the revolution and raises the responsibilities which this revolution is carrying by calling it to be at the level of the surrounding realities which it has proven till now that it is able, with its revolutionary soul, to deal with; it has also proven that it is able to deal with all other conditions that guarantee the interest of the poor people who govern within it and who determine the nature and objectives of the internal and external policies in order to proof once more the class and international dimensioned standards of the revolution and its distance away from all kinds of isolation.
