This story is a beauty. Take a look at New York Time's October 11th 1967. (http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~delacova/guerrilla/che-death.htm) It's a Rueters story.

As per usual, the New York Times propaganda arm of the U$ government even then, reported only half truths.
Sorry to disappoint you two, but all of us here know the real story. Thanks for another pointless post.

You will be happy to know that I tried to take your advice and get a new avatar. I found a picture of Che's dead body. Unfortunately, it was in the wrong format for an avatar otherwise I would have had a new avatar to commemorate this "tragic" event.

The thing about that, Disgustapated, is that the article was by Rueters.

Look at the date at the top of the article. Many years before the declassification of Guevara's death.
Thanks for another stupid post.

Nor do I, I was just remembering a line from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Do you recall when they picked up the hitchhiker?

Thanks for proving my point about propaganda news agencies.

that article said this:
The armed forces commander, Gen. Alfredo Ovando Candia, said Mr. Guevara had admitted
his identity before dying of his wounds. General Ovando said at a news conference that the
guerrilla leader had also admitted that he failed in the seven-month guerrilla campaign he organized
in Bolivia.
you have to wonder, I mean, was che so arrogant that while he was dying that he had to admit that his guerrilla campaign in bolivia failed? wouldn't his bleeding to death give an indication of this? also, if he had three NECK wounds, how much would he be speaking? stupid fluffy piece of propaganda. standard reading material for the ghost whiter and his lover.
