Hi, I used to post on this forum but it's a long time since I have! I think this is probably the best board for this question, but please move it if it isn't. I'm doing an undergraduate thesis on welfare capitalism in the Nottinghamshire coalfield before the war and the role of the break-away Industrial 'Spencer' Union, and although I've heard the term 'Spencerism' used as a term of abuse on the contemporary left I've not found any concrete references to it, does anyone know if there are any? Obviously there are plenty from the 80s, but if there are more recent examples that would be very helpful.
Thanks!
