With his retirement, my father is becoming quite the social activist. I'd like to share what my old man sent to representatives and senators yesterday. [I've omitted his name and address for obvious reasons. ;) ]
Oh, also: He's not a commie. lol

Last year the Congress voted to Unbalance the Democracy of the
United States of America by giving too much power to the President and Just
as our fore fathers predicted over 200 years ago it brought disaster.
The United States was rushed to an illegal unnecessary war that
killed many people (Iraqi, British and American). We lied to the UN that we
had "Secret" information about "Weapons of Mass Destruction" that we now
know were destroyed by the UN inspectors (most the first time around). The
US staged demonstrations which fooled no one except the American people who
just watched the managed news broadcasted by some networks. We failed to
predict the riots and looting that would happen when a people become
leaderless. They looted Hospitals and Museums as well as government
buildings.
This was the most embarrassing period in the history of the
Republic. "Great is the guilt of an unnecessary war" (John Adams). The
congress of the United States must stand up now for the American people and
the people of the world by passing a law(s) that all uses of force must go
though the UN. The UN should handle the rebuilding of Iraq. We must listen
to the views of other nations (France was right this time)
