These kind of casualties are unfortunate, however they are a consequence of war. I knew it going in, while I was supporting action against Iraq. I don't like to see such images, but they do not change my mind about the morality of this war. What sickens me is when our own press networks use this kind of propaganda to dissuade the American people's resolve. What makes me happy is the actual ratio of bombs dropped to civilian casualties. It is obvious that we have done everything in our power to minimize these disasterous results of warfare, sometimes at the cost to our own forces. The fact that we actually care about the sanctity of life helps me sleep better at night under the most just form of government in the world. America is truly a remarkable endeavor, and the safety of the American way of life is the reason I support this war. What our troops have done is amazing. Keep up the good work boys, and be careful, as the threat still exists. Unfortunately, we are dealing with an enemy that hides behind women and children, and has no concern about the lives of the innocent.

Reading about the death and destruction caused by the Union Army, one might conclude that the North was evil and the South was good. Focusing on only one aspect of a conflict can lead to wrong conclusions. Let's all remember it was the Southern Confederacy that held slaves and it was the Union North that freed the slaves. Is there anyone here in the land of che-lives (where left is right and right is wrong) that thinks Hussein is the good guy?

My heart reaches out to the Iraqi victims, whether they were murdered by Hussein's criminal intent or in accident by the US military in its attempt to remove Hussein. I felt bad reading the posted story but I believe good will come of this war just as good came from the American Civil war.

You'd better go back and read some history. The north had plenty of slaves as well. The Civil War had very little to do with slavery. The slavery issue was a by product. After the Civil War, very little changed for the blacks in either the North or the South.

Abe Lincoln was a milque toast president at best. He would change his opinions on issues depending on what crowd he was talking to. If I'm not mistaken, it was also Lincoln who put in the Sedition Act, which basically waters down (at best) , the First Amendment.

I mean hundrends more iraqis suffered in this war than in 9/11 and also 9/11 happened for one day and they wenet bombarded every day by bombs.
