A rejection of the people's wishes in favor of bailing out the rich! It seems that cheerful satisfaction in the system the people had when the first time it was reject was short lived. The people have NO power and the people in power have shown that the power belongs solely to them.
Sad day for the People and America.

Glad you realized that. The more people begin to understand that these capitalist politicians represent the bourgeoisie and not the people's interests the better it will be. Too many reformists are under the illusion that is the "reactionary" workers holding back the politicians from being more progressive when it is in fact the other way around. Which is the classic arrogant liberal "Blame the (stupid, reactionary, ignorant...) workers!!" game.

View roll call HERE (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2008/roll681.xml) to see who voted yea or nay on H.R. 1424, Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
A friend of mine called our Congressman, and, believe it or not, the staffer who answered the phone LIED, I MEAN BOLD FACED LIED, about the Congressman's vote, both on Monday and today when the bill was finally passed. He claimed the Congressman voted "nay," but both rollcalls show he voted "yea" both times!!!
The bastard is up for re-election, but the Democrats didn't even run anyone against him, and his only opposition is a Green Party guy (who can't be older than 21) who likely doesn't stand a chance. So, I guess he figured to hell with the voters.

I agree on that point, and to make it even worse, is it even garenteed that the bailout will be 100% effective or have any affect at all? This is just a chance that they are taking.
OK, i have stated that i was not totally against the bill to pass on another thread, but that is only because of the kind of hardship that people would very likely face if it does not pass could be devastating. I couldnt wish that upon anyone as it would be us workers who will suffer most and not the rich in any case, bailout or not.
On a positive note, people are going to be pissed off with this, and it may just turn people to the left. I'm gonna be bold and state that this could very well be the beginning of the end of liberal capitalist democracy (take that as you will), because the economic collapse that is happening all over the world will very likely happen again in the future and will keep on happening, untill people realise that a market without regulation will always cause problems. Can the governments keep on using tax payers money to bail buisness out? I some how think not. Next time it could be even worse.
