Mr. President:
I am a writer of a poor nation, a country that was once in your black list: Millions of Mozambiquians didnt knew what damage was caused to you by us. We were small and poor: What threat could we be? Our weapon of mass destruction was, afterall, turned against us: it was hunger and misery.

Some of us thought it very strange that your criteria that gave us a bad reputacion while other nations enjoyed your sympaty. For example our neighbor - South Africa from the "apartheid" times - was clearing violating the human rights. During decades we were victimes of the agression of that regym. But the "apartheid" regym deserved your suport: the so called "positive envolvement".

the ANC(organization of african countrys) was also in your list as a "terrorist organization!". Heird criteria that some years later made USA estrategists to call the talibans "freedom fighters".

WEll I, poor writer of a poor country, have a dream. Like Martin Luther King once dreamed that America was a nation of all Americans. Well i dreamed that i wasnt a man but a country. Yes, a country that couldnt sleep. Because i lived always allerted by terrible facts. And that fear made me proclaim a Demand!

A Demand that had to do with you, dear president. And i DEMANDED that the USA proceeded with the elimination of your mass destruction arsenal. For such dangers i would demand more: that UN inspectors were send to your country.

What terrible dangers allerted me? what fears your nation inspired me? they were not a product of dream or imagination, unfortunaly. It were facts that feeded my distrust.

the lsit is so big that i will only select a few:

- USA were the only nation that sended nuclear bombs against other nations;

-your country was the only nation to be condemnb for "iligitim use of force" by the international Justice Court

- American forces trained and armed more extremist islamic fundamentalists (including the terrorist Osama Bin Laden) at the claim to destroy the russian invadors in Afghanistan*

- Sadam Hussein´s regym was suported by USA while it practiced the worst atrocitys against the iraquians (including the killing of the Kurds with Gas in 1998)

-Like many other legitimly elected leaders, the african Patrice Lumumba was assassinated with the help of CIA. After arrested and tortured and shoted in the head his body was dissolved in chloridic acid

- Like many other puppets, Mobutu Seseseko was put into power by your agents and it gave specialfacilitys to American espionage: CIAs HeadQuarters in Zaire became the bigger in Africa. The Brutal dictatorship of this Zairense didnt deserved any warn by USA until he wasntusefull anymore in 1992

-Timor Leste´s Invasion by indonesian military deserved the suport of the USA(maby becuase the poor Timorenses were Marxists?). When the atrocitys were commited, the response of the Clinton Administration was "this affair is responsability of the Indonesian goverment and we dont want to take this responsability from them";

-your country feed criminals like Emmanuel Constant one of the most cruel and authoritarian Taitian Leader wich para-military forces slaughtered thousands of inocents. Constant was lather condemn by the rebelion and the new authoritys requested its extradition. the american goverment recused the request.

-In Augost of 1998, USA air force bombed a medicament factory in Sudan called AL-Shifa- A mistake? NO, it was a retaliation for the bombist attacks of Nairobi and Dar-es-Saalam.

-IN 1987 December, the USA was the only country (with Israel) to vote against the motion of condenation to international terrorism. Still the motion was aproved by the vote of 153 countrys.

-In 1953, CIA helped to prepare a coup-de-estat against Iran in the sequence of this thousands of Tudehnian Communists were slaughtered. CIA´s list of prepared hits its very long.

-Since WWII, the USA bombed: China (1945-46), Corea and China (1950-53), Guatemala (1960), Congo (1964), Peru (1965), Laos (1961-1973), Vietnam (1961-73), Camboja (1969-1970), Guatemala (1967-73), Granada (1983), Líbano (1983-84), Líbia (1986), Salvador (1980), Nicaragua (1980), Iran (1987), Panama (1989), Iraque (1990-2001), Kuwait (1991), Somalia (1993), Bosnia (1994-95) Sudan (1998), Afghanistan (1998), Jugoslavia (1999)

- quimical and biological terrorist acts were comited by the USA: the orange agent and the desfoliant in Vietnam, the pest virus in Cuba that destroyed the suine production for years in that country

-Wall Street Journal published a dossier taht anounced that 500000 Vietnamese children were born with deformitys in consequence of the chimical warfare carried out by the USA armed forces

I woke up from the sleeps nightmare to the nightmare of reality. this war that you insisted in start may release us from a dictator. But we will all be more poor. We will face more dificults in our alredy poor economys and will have even less hope iin a future ruled by reason and moral. we will have even less faith in the regulatory strneght of the UN and the conventions of the international rights. WE will, at last, more lonely and screwed.

Mr. President:

Iraq isnt Saddam. It is 22 millions of mothers and sons, and men that work and dream just like the comun north american. We woeey with the evilness of Saddam´s regym that are real. But you forgeted the horrors of the first gulf war in wich more than 150 000 people lost theyr lifes. What you are massly destroying are the Iraquians, not Saddam´s weapons.

Its the Embargos that leaved to a humanitarian situation so bad that two coordenators for UN help (Dennis Halliday and HAns Von Sponeck) quited in protest against the same Embargos. About his demission Halliday wrote: "we are destroing a entire society. It is so simple and terrible as taht. And that is ilegal and imoral." tht embargo alredy took half a million children to death.

-But the wa against Iraq isnt to start. IT alredy began a long time ago. In the restrictd fly zones in North and South Iraq there are continuous bombings for 12 years now. it is extimated that 500 Iraquians were killed since 1999. the bombings include the using of low Uranium (300 tons, wich is 30 times more than the amount used in Kosovo)

We will get rid of Saddam. But we will continue to be prisioners of war logic and arrogance. I dont want my children (nor yours) to live haunted by the spectre of fear. and to think that, to live in peace they need to build a fortress. And that they will only be safe when they spended all theyr money in weapons.

Your country sepnds 270 000 000 000 000 dolars per year to keep your war arsenal. You know very well that that money could help to change the miserable fate of millions and millions of human beings in this planet.

the American Priest Monsenhor Bowan wrote you in the end of last years a letter called "why does the world hate america?" the Bisp of the Catholic Church of Florida its a war veteran of Vietnam.

He knows what war really is and wrote: "you say taht USA are a terrorist target because we defend democracy, freedom and human rights. What a joke, Mr President! we are terrorist target becuase, in most of the world our country defended dictatorship, slave work and man to man exploitation. we are a terrorist target befcause we are hated. And we are hated becuase our goverment makes hediound stuff. In how many countrys did agents of our goverment conspired against popular elected leaders, replacing them with military dictators, puppets willing to sell theyr own people to multinational American corporations?"

And he ended: "the Canadian people enjoy democracy, freedom and other human rights, like the Norueguian and Suecian (from Suecia not Switzerland)- IN any time have you heard about attakcs on Canadian, Norueguian or Suecian Embassies? We are hatted not becuase we have democracy, freedom or human rights. we are hated because our goverment denys those things to the people of the third world, wich resources are wanted by our Multinationals".

Mr. President

You dont seem to need a international institution to legitim your right to military intervention. At least that we can find morals and truth in your arguments. Me and other millions of citzens arent convinced when we see you justifing war. We rather see you signing the Kyoto Convention to contain the global heating. We would rather see you in Durban during the international confederence against racism.

Dont worry, mister president. To us, litle nations of this world, it never crossed our minds to demand your demission because of that suport that your sucessive administrations gave to the not less sucessive dictators. The bigest danger that threats America isnt other´s arsenal. It is the universe of lies that was created around your citzens. The danger isnt Saddam´s regym, nor any other regym. But the superiority complex that sems to enlight your goverment. Your true enemy isnt outside. But inside USA. That war can only be won by the americans themselfs.

I would like to celebrate Saddam Hussein´s distitution. And celebrate with all americans. But without hypocrisy, without argumentation and consumation of mentaly diminuted. Because we, dear President Bush, we, the peoples of the small countrys, have a mass construction weapon: the ability to think

*(when there were no invaders, the afghani goverment asked help to the union against the stupid barbaric fundamentalists that were thretening national security and peace)
