Voltes V is a japanese made science fiction anime TV series that became popular amongst children, especially in the philippines. However, during its popularity, former President Ferdinand marcos ordered it to be banned since he called it as "Violent", but I think behind those scenes of that giant robot fighting against oppression was more like a call for a revolution for the fact that the cancellation of that show because Marcos, being the dictator of the Philippines, thought the show had messages of rebellion for that activists, especially left leaning might use it as a tool to create a revolution at that time.
To those whom used to know about the robot anime Voltes V, do you think behind those scenes of that giant robot fighting against the empire whose society is feudal are likely to carry messages of revolution against a corrupt state???
