I really do not understand the point of it all to be honest. The Tzars are long gone, and Russia seriously needs to accept that fact. It become more and more apparent that history is getting revised again. This time in favour of the royals. Dont these people understand that the Russian Revolution happened for a reason?
To me, this is just another attempt of trying to spraypaint Soviet times out of history, Which is understandable to a degree, but also ashame too. Mainly because Russia did achieve things during those times, its just a huge shame that people also suffered too(often unnecersarilly:().

It's funny that people who criticize Israel are blindly accused of being anti-Semites while people who rehabilitate the fucking Tsars and their wretched pogroms are given a free pass. I love people who accuse the media of having a left-wing bias: The media has corporatist bias that expresses through social liberalism, through market liberalism, or through more reactionary ideas.

well they had pressure from the survivor of the royal family, and at the end, they put the things has they really where at the end, it was a political assasination.
I usually dont make a big deal of a leader killed, but when you kill the whole family that another thing.
but well, you commie dont have to be upset! after all the soviet union was a degenerate worker state! it was no real communism!

So true,I couldn't put it better myself.

For me, it is a politically motivated murder, or in other words a liquidation for that is the policy to destroy opponents. Perhaps in the terms of every soviet it is an execution since they (the romanovs) did not trust the people at all.

Haven't they done this already?
Either way I here he is quite a popular (dead) figure in modern Russia (didn't he beat Stalin in a "most popular Russian" poll or something recently?).

If you're a communist, it doesn't have to be necessary. Just beneficial, according to consensus.

Yes they have; I believe he was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church outside of Russia in 1981 and inside in 2000.

Dear Saint Nicholas pray for me
Make me safe from harm
Keep Raspitins from my door
And from my Tsarina's charms
And keep the Commies under control
I want no Lenin's at my door
I want my factory producing goods
And always making me more
Dear Saint Nicholas give me strength
Let me walk in happiness and mirth
And bring back the good old fuedal days
When rich men ruled the earth.

It's disgusting how they're making him out to have been some angelic little democrat. The murder of his children was fucked up, sure, but the man was a tyrant and an autocrat.

I don't think he was so much of a tyrant as he was dumb and unfit for leadership
Not that I object to his death or anything

Dont get me wrong, i'm no lover of killing children or communism but it was entirely necessary. Any chance of a member of the royal family escaping would have been extremely dangerous for the revolution. Obviously things didn't turn out as expected and the revolution pretty much got them back to an dictatorship all beit with out the monarchy.
Its always going to sound evil, but think about the millions who would died as a result of another civil war.
