I loved the shot that Alternet's photo journal had of a young grad holding a sign "I've got a 4.0 GPA and $90,000 in debt and NO JOB. WHERE'S MY BAILOUT?"
The private "non-profit" university system will be another bubble (over inflated values, of course). We'll also see a lot of problems with "institutionalized" young adults who are perpetually in school and getting in debt. Not a majority problem, but significant, nonetheless.
We'll have a lot more of the world's "most educated waitresses", as an acquaintance once called her daughter, who had graduated from my alma mater with a bachelor's degree. Nothing wrong with waiting, unless it's underpaid and you just spent four years in academia with the expectation of getting a different job.

We should stop worrying about the condition of the working class and start provide an organized fight back. If no one on the left is leading then we have do it ourselves. They will eventually try to jump on the bandwagon and tell us things ought to be done their way and pack our meetings with their stooges, but at least we can try to guide them to act in the interests of everybody or the real development of the movement.
